Summary/Abstract: Belarus’s participation in the Russian invasion of Ukraine will have significant consequences, including further international isolation and exacerbated economic problems. Although the Belarusian government will not change policy in the short term, these factors may significantly affect it over a longer period. EU countries, including Poland, should continue their policy of maintaining sanctions on Belarus while supporting civil society.
