Summary/Abstract: On February 13, 2013, the United States of America and the European Union announced their intention to initiate negotiations on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (hereinafter: TTIP) with the aim of expanding bilateral trade flows and investments between these two economic blocs. The goal of initiating structural economic reforms is to provide incentives for economic growth and employment, especially in sectors that are of strategic importance for the signatory states. The stated priorities of this agreement include: reduction and/or elimination of tax burdens, reduction of investment barriers, general market liberalization, etc.
