Keywords: ASPECTS OF THE STUDY OF ALBANIAN ; PEOPLE BALLAD
Albanian folk tradition recognizes our ballad song as painful or as old time songs. Judging by the accompanying music with aerofone instruments and dance, for which the authors of ancient Greek speak, Albanian ballad his predecessors may have had that in the period of Illyria, but its existence is proved in the Middle Ages, in the works of Marin Barletius .. Ballads as texts written before we find at Arbëresh of Italy in "Manuscript Kieutit" in 1737. The first researchers of ballads are: Vincenzo Dorsa and Dimiter Kamarda, which is the first to use naming Ballad. Foreign scholars, especially those of the Balkan countries, have ignored the mostly Albanian tradition, considering our ballad simply on loan from Greek poetry or Slavic epic that was particularly popular in the period of European romanticism. Except for the objective assessment of the epos and Albanian ballad does German scholar Maximilian Lambertz. In studies of Albanian authors it is concluded that ballad synthesizes internally its structure many of the characteristics of other types of folk creativity and so becomes a synthesis of their poetry values and folk. Themes and motives of ballads most prevalent within the Albanian space are studied in comparative aspects with neighboring people ballads of Balkan authors Q. Haxhihasani Z. Sako, A. Çetta, J. Panajoti, K. Luka, A. Papleka etc Are also studied the basic features of the ballad poetry, its symbolic functions, reports based on mythology, history, ethno-psyhology etc. as well as lyrical and dramatic ingredients in certain types of ballads. The ballad is featured in many collections of Albanian folklore, especially in the famous series "Visar Nation", but how special it is, can be found in other publications. Although so far it has been studied many aspects of characteristic features of our balad, we can conclude that its values are not yet lit so full. Deeper study of these issues will fill an emphasize gap in our folklore studies and will highlight the values of genuine poetic and folkolre of Albanian folk ballad.

In the paper: About some Albanian lyrical songs vis-à-vis contemporary processes, the author analyses and evaluates songs and beliefs of Albanian folklore and also ascertains (states) anthropologic values of these songs. In this paper is especially picked out the song “T’shoqin vasha shpejtonte” = (Wife hastened her husband), denoted by De Rada, for its rare motif, as well as for the fact that the song was recorded (denoted) in 1866, and it appeared as a rare phenomenon, stating that at the other people it exists as a ritual and belief, while at the Albanian people it exists as a song and at the same time as a poetry. In the European context the Albanian song and the role of its talented Albanian creator is valuable and of a very special importance.

As it is known, the word song comprise (includes) two its components, the text and melody, in their fusion and harmonisation. And this their syncretic relation, the way of practicing of this kind of singing, in general, during joint (concerted) interpretation and execution of both components, is the scope of our study in this case. Polyphony as a special singing attracts the author to express conviction that syncretism in the Albanian polyphonic songs enables to discuss and state (ascertain) the reasons and factors which emphasise this kind of the art of singing. Subjoining of the textual structure with musical (melodic) structure passes along through necessary processes to reach harmonisation. More influential is music, but its text is influential as well. Interdependence between these is immense. The author of this study considers the syncretism in ethnographic aspect to be important, it means, at songs which are sung and danced. Subjoining of two or three kinds of art, undoubtedly creates the quality of values. The author considers important the role of the region where the polyphonic song is created and interpreted, and as well as, the genre of types of songs. Issues discussed in this study, suppositions and ascertainment reached here, are impulsion and inspiration for fundamental and specialised studies that could be carried out in future.

In the standard native tradition of Albanian studies, descriptive and empirical research has only confirmed their own ultimate goal of constructing national specificity and a particularly antiquated view of national culture. In this article, I show how and why an articulate analysis of the main intellectual traditions and their impact can provide fresh insights into grasping the cultural particularism of Albanian studies. Methodologically, a new picture of knowledge production must arise if we consider the historical, cultural, political and ideological terrain on which certain influential ideas and practices in Albanian studies of people’s culture have emerged. The aim, then, is not to provide an exhaustive picture of a positive knowledge of culture and society, but to show the urgent need for avoiding any adoption of concepts that might be pure reconstructions of arbitrary and timeless structures and values, while rejecting any approach in terms of survivals and folklorism.

Modality expresses high probability and total degree through boosters (Halliday 1985, Holmes 1990). Through them, writers reinforce statements with the assurance of reliable knowledge (cf. Hyland 1998b). This study compares the usage of boosting emphasizers (e.g. certainly) and intensifiers (e.g. completely) (cf. Quirk et al. 1985) and their orientation and manifestation (cf. Halliday & Matthiessen 2014) in Albanian and Italian student academic writings in L1 and English as an L2. I compiled an Italian and an Italian English corpus (around 3 million words each) as well as an Albanian corpus (around 2.2 million words) and Albanian English one (around 700,000 words). The corpora are comparable in terms of genre, disciplinary domain, gender and the division of ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ sciences. Since very little research has been conducted on academic writing in Albania (Toska 2015), it is essential to initiate research in this field. The results showed that boosters were significantly favored in Italian and Italian English and less favored in Albanian. Conclusively, Italians show more commitment than Albanians.

The aim of this paper is to analyze French and Albanian proverbs which contain animal names. By highlighting the similarities and differences from a cultural standpoint, we will try to find the equivalences between them. On this occasion, we have compared the presence of animal names in selected proverbs in order to ascertain whether the same domestic and wild animals have been perceived in the same way in both cultures, as well as if their metaphorical and symbolic meaning is the same. With the help of the contrasting method, we will analyze the lexical and semantic structure of French proverbs which contain these lexemes and their Albanian equivalents. We have divided these proverbs into two categories: those which have the same lexico-semantic structure in both languages and those that have different lexical structures, whereas, based on their semantic content are the same.
