The whole enterprise took place according to the Deming cycle/ PDCA (plan-do-check-act). This article is a comparative and holistic analysis of two celebrations, Saint Valentine and Dragobete, which have the same subject, namely celebrating love. The main purpose of this article is to explain how these two celebrations are celebrated in Romania nowadays, especially in the Oltenia region. We resorted to different types of researching methods such as: participative observation, questionnaires, interviews and meta-analytical method to prove which of these two celebrations are considered more important in our society. In the last years, Saint Valentine has become an important celebration for Romania’s society and it has almost taken over the meaning of our traditional celebration of love. Based on our research, we wanted to better understand this phenomenon, how an imported celebration as Saint Valentine has created its own rituals in the Romania’s culture. Romanian celebration of love is still considering Dragobete, but it doesn’t have the same intensity as it used to have in the past any more. From our research, we discovered that both Saint Valentine and Dragobete receive almost the same attention from people, but the former one is celebrated more in the cities than in the countryside. People from the countryside are less exposed to the influence of Saint Valentine, so it is celebrated in a few villages in Oltenia. However, the Oltenia villages are closer from the anthropology’s perspective to Dragobete and they are more aware of the importance of the Romanian tradition. Also, we found out that neither Saint Valentin nor Dragobete are celebrated in a few villages from the Oltenia region.

The Burning Bush Movement at the Antim Monastery represented a unique case of symbiosis between laic intellectuals and monasticism, which promoted a spiritual form of anti-communist resistance centred on the practice of the Prayer of the Heart. The activity of the “Burning Bush of the Mother of God” Association during the mid-1940s consisted in weekly conferences on various subjects of theology and apologetics. Debates were doubled by participation in religious services and prayer, which created both a specific spiritual ethos and functioned as a missionary coordinate. While exploring the missionary and monastic ethos belonging to the “Burning Bush”, the paper attempts to inquire the validity and importance of such a model to nowadays monasticism.

Categorial concepts must be understood as classification criteria, as forms and general determinations that allow us to think things, as reading keys of reality. Our paperwork doesn’t regard, possibly, the replacement of old categories by the new ones in the contradictorial context of globalisation, but in order to exemplify we’ll examine 3 definitional (general) categories of civil trial law, namely jurisdiction, civil action, and trial subjects.

The financial market is in a process of metamorphosis, the international crises being determining factors in the reconfiguration process. In addition, the stakeholders attitude reshapes the different components of the financial markets. Financial consumers have become a force that requires financial institutions to adopt honest and ethical behavior. Portfolio investors also sanction, by specific methods, the inappropriate behavior of companies towards the environment or local communities or encourage listed companies that carry out corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs. The stock exchanges and the authorities that supervise and regulate the segments of the financial market are promoters of CSR, both through the power of the example and through specific programs. In this dynamic context, the article aims to carry out an analysis regarding the contribution of financial market actors on promoting the principles of sustainable development and the principles of Global Compact in national economies. The article focuses on the process of financial education in several European countries. The authors identified and analyzed five financial education platforms in selected European countries. The analysis of the statistical data reveals a low interest of financial consumers, especially from the countries from the former communist bloc.
More...No major changes on the political front: the budget process seems to be muddling through amidst mutual finger pointing and public diatribes exchanged between the coalition partners. At the moment this issue of the Real Economy became public the budget was already approved. However, the nature of the process is revealing in itself. Firstly, it shows that ruling in coalition is no easy walk even after almost two years have passed since the democratic coalition came to power. In other words, this cumbersome cohabitation will continue for some time before the coalition learns to communicate better, internal competitions settle and roles become more or less agreed. The tensions will perhaps recede after the local elections, but only somewhat. Secondly, for this sanguine scenario to materialize rather sooner than later, we need to have clear understanding of the motivations behind the current unease.

Around this theme, regarding the “social communication of the street children” some prejudices have been created and a confusedly natured opinion war is going on, as well as the subject itself asks for a special analysis effort that has to be made with lucidity and profoundness, because it’s about a problem of distinct complexity. The Romanian society has been marked by the apparition of this “children of the street” phenomenon after 1990. The “children of the street”, as a nationally extended social phenomenon, is tied directly with the poverty rate in the different parts of the country. The main area where these children come from is Moldova (a third of the total number). The territorial indicator of poverty shows a concentration of poverty in the north-eastern part of the country (in Moldova). The poverty rate for this region is 40.61%, the highest in the country. The Romanian society has been marked by the sudden apparition of this phenomenon in the 1990 and by a raise in the number of children of the street. In 1990 there were 3500 children of the street registered, in 1995 there were 6000 and, in the present, there are over 8500 children at a national level. The children of the street represent the children category that live on the streets – a social phenomenon encountered widely everywhere in the world, but accentuated in the industrialized societies.

The closer the period of signing a new natural gas procurement contract with the Russian Federation approaches, the more current become the historical problems related to the collaboration between SA Moldovagaz and SAD Gazprom. The stake is the same, obtaining a contract as favorable as possible for both parties since 2012. Obtaining such a result for the Republic of Moldova is conditioned by the historical debts that have accumulated to Gazprom. The problem would be much simpler if there were only debts accumulated on the right side of the Dniester, but since the Transnistrian region is in the middle, the situation is even more complicated. The purpose of this policy brief is not to propose and argue solutions for the possibilities of debt settlement but to clearly identify the problems that formed these debts and risk generating new donations to Gazprom.

In an interdisciplinary manner, through this study, we aim to highlight the outlook attributed by the European Court of Human Rights to the contravention area as a species of criminal law, the deeds characterized in the Romanian legislative system as contraventions enjoying the same treatment as any other criminal offence. We also capture the effects of the contraventional liability removal of certain deeds sanctioned by national law, in contrast to the operable decriminalization in penal law. Last but not least, having as research object, the comparative analysis of the particularities that characterize the Romanian contraventional law, we propose to debate some inadvertences for which the contraventional spectrum must be held to adapt to the accuracy imposed by the criminal law.
