The paper refers to the process of metaphorization in the formulation of the journalistic titlle. Assuming that figurative language is used to point out the emotional aspect of the message, our study focuses mainly on the use of metaphor in the journalistic title. One of the key issues connected with music is its interpretation. The very article is an attempt to answer the question on what role interpretation plays and should play in the case of a modern performance of an old music before 1800. After a short presentation of what an old music is and used to be in modern music culture, the author concentrates on the notion of interpretation as such, and its practical aspects. Quoting old treaties, he shows what the role of a performer interpreting music in the past was, as well as what role the appropriate interpretation in creating modern performances of an old music is.
More...In July 2008, Filip Dimitrov, the former Prime Minister of Bulgaria (1991-1992), left the Bulgarian political scene and the country for a teaching job in the United States. His leaving Bulgarian politics was a heavy loss for all democrats in Bulgaria, because he was one of the very few authentically liberal, democratic and pro-European politicians in his country. He was a statesman, and in addition incorruptible, as even his opponents had to admit when they took leave of him in parliament on 10 July 2008. During his premiership Dimitrov laid the foundations of the modern Bulgarian state which were: rule of law, democratic institutions, market economy and the fight against the remnants of the old communist order. Unfortunately he failed after one year as Prime Minister due to the lack of trust of some of his political followers, due to the overwhelming political experience, the financial means and the ruthlessness of the former communists and, as some say, due to the mistakes he made. It is very regrettable and at the same time significant that since 10 November 1989 millions of young Bulgarians have turned away from their motherland as recently did Filip Dimitrov: Because they lost their confidence in an improvement in the political situation of the country.

The paper aims to contribute to a better understanding of structures of collaboration and their underlying logic by combining theories on Governance and (Planning) Culture. By the intro¬duction of an integrative approach, called the ‘The Culture-Based Governance Analysis’, aspects of both discourses are combined. Factors from the Governance discourse, providing analysis on the frameworks of collaboration, were integrated with factors from the Culture discourse, providing analysis of the underlying reasons for people collaborating or not. This novel approach provides a way to analyze and understand how existing collaborations have developed and the basis on which they operate. As a further step, it enables planners to use this knowledge for the establishment of future collaborations between already active as well as not yet involved actors, for example, in urban redevelopment processes.

The aim of following article is to present the electoral strategy of Alliance ’90 / The Greens, used by that party before the 2009 Bundestag election. Individual persuasive techniques of The Greens and their influence on the target audience, in order to fulfil that aim, are analyzed here. Each time, during the description of a technique, its initial characteristic and mechanisms of action are pointed out. Specific slogans of the party, through which the technique was used, are listed and explained. In the end of article general conclusions regarding the electoral strategy of Alliance ’90 / The Greens before the 2009 German parliamentary election are formulated. The analysis clearly showed that The Greens figured as a confident, strong group, ready to face and overcome the existing crisis, as a ‘promising’ Party, understanding the awaiting problems of Germany such as, for example, the question of the use of genetic engineering in agriculture. The Party was also identified as rather balanced in its recruiting activities because strong aggressive attack techniques (except for one example) were not used in its poster campaign

In this article we will refer to the importance of the language as a means of communication and will take as an example the languages english and german. As noted, in everyday life it exists more and more voices, that try to minimize the role of language in interpersonal communication, increasingly reinforce the role and the necesity of non-verbal communication. Without neglecting the aspect of nonverbal communication, we wish to demonstrate through theory and examples from the two languages of how important the communication through language is. We also analize the lending role of the words in German and in Romanian from English, wich are more numerous in the last years.

The experience of reading the reports produced by various departments of the Lodz town government in the times of the Nazi occupation gives us a unique opportunity to become acquainted with the functioning of the fascist bureaucracy. There is much we can learn there about the work of the office in question and the lives of its officials in a broader context of the effectiveness of their activity. It transpires, for example, very clearly that no legal equality existed between the Germans and the Jews. This is corroborated by the fact that, in the rare cases of municipal claims against the Jews in the Lodz ghetto, those claims were upheld and enforced very meticulously.

Drawing on Lakoff and Johnson’s theory of metaphor, the author attempts to establish thekind of source domains from which common metaphors are drawn, and to what degree structuralmetaphors are used. To this end, different types of texts (e.g., match reports and reviews, officialnews, interviews, etc.) have been derived from German internet websites, with the intention ofanalyzing metaphors found therein. Data indicates that a number of structural metaphors can be foundin written football commentaries. They are drawn from a wide variety of source domains, althoughthe domains of physical fight, military conflict, games and sport, animal and human behaviour, aswell as meetings and journeys are particularly prominent. The primary function of metaphor in thiscontext appears to be to interpret facts in a way that attracts the readers’ attention.

In German, the preposition "von" is among primary prepositions whose characteristics are: require words or groups of words (in dative, accusative, or both) and, in turn, they might be required by adjectives, nouns or verbs.
