In this paper I sketch the problem of hospitality as developed by Jacques Derrida in his late work. I pinpoint the dependence between hospitality and deconstruction arguing that the hospitality is not an unexpected turn in relation to Derrida’s earlier work in deconstruction of metaphysics, but its further development on ethical and political level. Derrida keeps taking hospitality as an alternative name or an example of deconstruction, showing in this peculiar metaphor quasi-ontological structure of trace haunted by what precedes and what follows it, sabotaging its homogeneity and integrity.

Phenomenological threads of the philosophy of drama

The paper depicts phenomenological threads of philosophy of drama. My aim here is to analyse the dramatic creature in its phenomenological aspect rooted in the thought of Józef Tischner. In analysis of axiological-agatological character of the egotic sphere, Tischner shows ego as a creature of internal rift. In the paper I focus on three threads of Tischner’s philosophy of drama and his concept of dramatic creature. First, the issue of the source experience as a starting point of philosophy. Second, the egotic thread; and thirdly, the dramatic-one, that is axiological interpretation of egology. Taking into account some selected issues which are core of Tischner’s philosophy of drama, makes it able to show his thought in his phenomenological provenance.

The paper concerns Immanuel Kant’s view on ontological argument for the existence of God by Anselm of Canterbury. Arguing from his critical philosophy, Kant remains sceptical about the possibility of proving the very existence of God, which he takes as only the idea (ideal) of pure reason. Seen along such lines the concept of God cannot be verified in the matter of experience. Kant’s critique was based on refutation of speculative character of theological speculation related to the tradition of natural (rational) theology. From this point of view he takes it as impossible to derive a priori the real existence of subject merely on the basis of taking it as the greatest thing that can be conceived, that is the best thing that might exist. The idea of the highest being has in Kant merely intellectual status, that is, it has it source in (pure) reason only and in this sense its real existence cannot be subject of analysis (scrutiny). Interestingly, what Kant has in mind in his critique of ontological argument (besides other arguments) is Descartes’ argument which is to an important degree different from the one by Anselm. In this paper similarities and differences between Kant’s refutation and Anselm’s support of the ontological argument are discussed.

The Role of Relationship Marketing Dimensions in the Customer Retention

Advancement of science and technology, growth of service sector, strengthening of competition and, what is the most important, diversity of customer needs and regular changes thereof, determined the necessity for a new approach to the development of operations. Relationship marketing is defined as “the new marketing”, oriented towards the main objective of the company’s operations - fulfillment of customer needs and building of long-term relationships with customers. However, loyalty from the customers’ side is not guaranteed. Customer’s wish to maintain loyal relationships depends on the company’s ability to foresee the needs of potential customers and to fulfil them before the competitors do that. A company that seeks to earn the customer loyalty and maintain a competitive advantage has to be well versed in the qualitative dimensions of relationships – the main principles for maintaining of relationships. As shown in the analysis of scientific literature on the subject of relationship marketing, only a few of scientific researches were devoted to operationalization of the key dimensions of relationship marketing. After taking into consideration the interpretations of commentation on relationship marketing dimensions, presented by the scholars, and their significance to the company’s relationships with business partners, the following main relationship marketing dimensions were identified: empathy, communication, cooperation, satisfaction, trust and commitment. Manifestation of these dimensions in conjunction with formal measures of the company such as organizational rules of behaviour and the code of ethics determine the strength and development of relationships between the parties that maintain them. Empirical research into manifestation of relationship marketing dimensions in relationships of cargo vehicles manufacturers’ representative offices with their customers allowed to establish that the manifestation of relationship marketing dimensions in relationships of these companies with customers was sufficiently strong and in turn determined closeness of these relationships.

Presented paper aims to reveal new aspects of propensity to emigrate. Overview of prevailing emigration theories is being followed by insight into current emigration tendencies in the European Union. Authors point out, that, despite economic driving forces are rather significant, they alone can not explain why similarly developed countries demonstrate different propensity to emigrate. Difference between qualified and low-qualified labour markets has been distinguished. Driving forces initiating emigration of qualified labour force are being discussed by taking a closer look at supply and demand of knowledge-susceptible employees. Structure of Lithuanian economy, number of universities’ graduates, and responses of 1001 business enterprises about supply and demand of high-skilled employees have been taken into account. Applied approach let to reveal new aspects of qualified labour force emigration motives.

Application of Models for Forecasting of Enterprise Bankruptcy

The essence of the models, meant for forecasting of bankruptcy of enterprises, is a complex index, which covers various spheres of the enterprises’ activity and which allows to evaluate the threat of bankruptcy of enterprises according to the fixed critical limits of values. Several models, meant for forecasting of bankruptcy of enterprises, which imply application of the lineal discriminant analysis, were selected, i.e. the Altman method (the first one – the two indices model, the second one – the model for enterprises, the shares of which quote at the securities exchange, the third one – the model for enterprises, the shares of which do not quote at the securities exchange), the Lis, Tafler and Springate methods. The analysis of Lithuanian enterprises, including the operating ones and the ones, which have gone bankrupt after the period under review, was done, seeking to ascertain feasibility of application of the models, meant for forecasting of bankruptcy.

Methodology of Complex Analysis of Tangible Long-Term Assets

Long-term tangible assets are used by all companies regardless of their size and activity profile. Long-term tangible assets are very significant for companies’ financial results, thus, it is important to perform a detailed analysis of these assets. The complex methodology of long-term tangible assets based on financial accounting information is presented in the article. The recommended schema of long-term tangible assets analysis includes the following stages: 1) composition, 2) structure and dynamics, 3) alternation, 4) technical condition, 5) application, 6) profitability, 7) conclusions of analysis’ results and preparation of recommendations. In each of the stage the main questions, that should be investigated in order to evaluate the effectiveness and profitability of the asset, are indicated.

The value of the company is the benefit of positive net present value projects which give better return than the cost of invested capital. It is important for investors and shareholders to choose the optimal collection of strategic decisions and evaluate the performance of project realization, to measure yearly actions of managers to create shareholder value. value-based methods are used to measure the performance of projects with the objective to create the value of company. After grouping of valuation methods depending on cash flow, balance and market value, their useful adjustment to controlling performance for specific needs of investors in performed. In the paper the approach to project yearly performance management is discussed to control the value of enterprise, with benefits and limitations formulated in conclusions.

Optimal Market Structure: Free Competition and Consumer Sovereignty

The article comprises the scientific literature based on analysis of the classical market structures: pure competition, monopoly, oligopoly and monopoly competition – in order to identify the consumer-optimal market structure. The optimal market structure is considered to be the one maximizing consumer surplus from the price-quality combination of the product. Nevertheless, the pure competition is traditionally considered to be the most effective market structure, the possibility of its existence in the real world is limited by its numerous assumptions, and thus the optimal market structure is searched for among the imperfect competition models. The analysis of the monopoly takes into account the circumstances of its establishment, distinguishing natural, administrative (closed) and economic (open) monopolies and their impact on consumer wealth. As for oligopoly and monopoly competition market structures, the product differentiation is indicated to be of primary importance to satisfy the individual needs of consumers. Also the relationship between the market structure and research and development intensity is touched upon to compare market structures’ effectiveness. The main criterion for defining the optimal market structure, developed throughout the paper, is the consumer sovereignty concept, that is the ability of sovereign consumers to indirectly affect the formation and further development of the market structure in a free from the government intervention or other artificial impact environment.

Innovation Team Forming and the Modification of Its Behaviour in an Enterprise

The present paper is concerned with forming of an innovation team and the modification of its behaviour in conformity with the main statements of organizational behaviour and management psychology. The drawn up logical scheme of forming an innovation team embraces the active processes of its formation, differentiation, integration and its mature stage as well as its correlation processes with the team’s effectiveness factors and the potential psychological problems. The problems of the inner compatibility of the individual members as well as their personal creativity, the stimuli for their private motivation and their impact on the general record are taken into account. The alternatives of the productivity increase means, taking into consideration the concord of the team and its rate, are also looked into. The analysis of the appropriate ways of thinking and the tolerance of indeterminate combinations are also dealt with. The desirable aspects of the ethical behaviour of the team members are analysed as well in the given paper. The aspects of the perception of the working environment and its impact on the records of the innovation team are fully considered. Side by side with the innovation team behaviour assessment, resulting from the functional analysis, the logical scheme and the behaviour modification stages of the team are presented.

Julius Haynau báró tábomemagy, a császari hadsereg főparancsnoka csupán 1849. július 19-én vonul be a honvédcsapatok által már vagy másfél hete kiürített Budapestre, de - mert halaszthatatlan feladatának tartja, hogy lesújtson a hatalmába került itteni zsidókra, akiknek a többsége "ismételt gyalázatos és törvényellenes magaviseletet nem csak általában, de különösen a lázzadóknak törvényes császár és királyuk ellen nyújtott kedvezmények által. .. világosan tanúsított" - még aznap hatalmas .- természetben, hadfelszerelési cikkek ben lerüvandó - sarcot vet ki az óbudai és a pesti zsidó hitközségre. Az érintettek pedig, ha végigfutnak a hadisarcról szóló hirdetményen, amely tételesen felsorolja, mi mindent kell záros határidőn belül beszolgáltatniuk a hadsereg óbudai ruházati bizottmányához, a.zon nyomban megérthetik, hogy a rendelet teljesítése mindnyájukat teljes nyomorba fogja dönteni.

"Nagy hibát követnek el az országban élő németek, ha a teljesen németül beszélő zsidót eltaszítják maguktól. Ebben a mozgékony, jómódú és tanult népben derék szövetséges társra lelhetnének. Ám ahelyett, hogy a zsidót magukhoz öleln é k, kicsinyes gyűlölettel a magyar karjába kergetik, aki őt melegen pártfogásába veszi. Az utóbbi időben ez a szűkkeblű és kártékony idegenkedés a legfelháborítóbb üldözési vággyá fajult. Mintegy tíz, németek által lakott városban került veszélybe a zsidók élete és vagyona. A felheccelt csőcselék még itt, a kormány és a nádor székhelyén is tömeges támadást kísérelt meg egy olyan városrész ellen, ahol sok zsidó lakik. Csak a kirendelt nemzetőrség s egy jelentős csapattömeg tudta megakadályozni a készülő fosztogatást. Ezzel szemben Pozsonyban szörnyű dolgok történtek húsvét vasárnapján. Ott hat órán keresztül fosztogatták a zsidónegyedet, akár egy rohammal bevett várost, s ebben egyenruhás nemzetőrök is segítettek." Így számolt be az Allgemeine Zeitung des Judenthums tudósítója 1848. május 15-én azokról a borzalmas zavargásokról, amelyek a német polgárok által lakott magyar szabad királyi városokban törtek ki.

"Íme tehát elmúltak az 1848 tartalmas hónapjai is, és ez az év, melyhez hasonló még kevés volt a polgárisult emberiség történetében, és melyhez hasonló kevés lesz a jövőben, immár a történelemé. Mit hozott ez az év? A törvény előtti egyenlőséget! És eme törvény előtti egyenlőség által mi, zsidók egyszeriben levertük lábainkról a puszta homokját, levettük nyakunkról az igát, és összetörtük. Emberek, szabad emberek lettünk, akiknek vallása nem tesz többé bölcsőjükbe rabbilincseket, akiknek hite nem oly ár többé, mely fülüket a kapufélhez szegezi az örök rabszolgaság jele gyanánt. Polgárok, szabad polgárok lettünk ott is, ahol oly soká orrunk előtt csapták be a polgári élet kapuit, ott is, ahol ha már kénytelen-kelletlen kinyitották a kaput, mindig újabb belső kapukat csináltak, amelyeken át csak egyik vagy másik előcsarnokba bocsátottak bennünket.
