NEW ASPECTS OF IVAN BUNIN‟S RECEPTION IN BULGARIA

Ivan Bunin is a famous figure for the Bulgarian culture. His masterpieces not only appeared in the Bulgarian language at the beginning of the XX-th century, but also created a new image of the Russian classic writer. The interest to Bunin’s works has been real from the first translations to our days. Such a phenomenon can be explained by the specific Russian soul and mentality, which is transferred by the Russian people all over the world. The article depicts new aspects in Bunin’s reception in Bulgaria. The author presents the materials and documents, published in Margarita Kanazirskaya’s book “After Russia. To the Problem of the Russian Emigration the Bulgaria /1920-1940/”, 2013. A few extracts from Ivanka Vaseva’s article “I. A. Bunin” are translated by the author in Russian. There is a strong bibliography of critical works about Bunin’s creative work.

The sail has an important place in Russian literature from the XIX and XX centuries, being a literary image, a symbol, a bearer of the author’s message. In the article I have written is being analyzed its history – from its first arrival (1828) in Bestuzhev (Marlinsky)’s poem “Andrey, Knyaz of Pereyaslvl”, followed by Lermontov’s “The Sail”, Bunin’s “Song” (“Pesnya”), Grin’s “Scarlet Sails”, V. Kataev’s “A White Sail Gleams” to the famous “Brigantine”, written by Pavel Kogan. Connected to the water and the air, the sail absorbs the essence of the elements. In this way, it becomes a verbal center for the fictional world of freedom, an illustration of the dream, an expression of yearning for the unfulfillable.

Twenty years before, The Swedish Academy honnors Wisława Szymborska with the Nobel Prize in Literature. Many events – scientific, cultural, art and public are planned and realized to remind the significance of the role of Polish poetry as another Nobelist Czeslaw Milosz claims in his congratulations. The Wislawa Szymborska Foundation established in 2012 by virtue of the Nobel Prize winner’s last testament in partnership of other cultural organizations release a new film Written life (Napisane życie) on Milosz Festival with live interviews of the secretary of the poet Michal Rusinek and the film's director Marta Wegiel. The native town of the great poet realizes also an interesting program of events including concerts, videоreadings of Szymborska’s poetry followers in a creative atmosphere. Many posters with popular poems and interesting collages complete regional diversity. The present article relates all moments in 2016 considered as important to tell the journey of award-winning author and her poetry in time.

The subject of the article is the answer as a reaction to the question in Bulgarian media discourse between the recipient and sender. The models that are analyzed do not fall into standard expectations when the recipient fills gaps in the information of the questioner. Various situations are analyzed, but in particular via so-called "dialogic game" where interlocutors have relatively equal participation in verbal communication. The aim is to penetrate to some extent in the principles of verbal interpersonal interaction. To understand whether there are specific models that successfully avoid unwanted response from the addressee. Are there any "stereotypes" of speech behavior? And how they spread in the Bulgarian media context? Are there dominant models that serve as "universal formula"?

This article deals with the changes in press-language in German daily press during the period from 1988 to 2013. Its goal is to present the most important results of the press-language analysis. It documents changes in stylistic shade, language economy (sentence length) and in the range of vocabulary of foreign origin. An attempt is also made to formulate the development trends of the present language of daily press. The research focused on 55 editions of the most widespread quality newspapers (FAZ, ND-Zeitung) and tabloids (BILD) in Germany. In last chapter author also deals with the GDR-vocabulary with the aim to demonstrate its assimilation into the westgerman language variant.

The immigration policies of many nations are in crisis. The last decade of the twentieth century and the first decade of the twenty-first century can be characterized as the "era of migration." Every day, the migration is becoming a global player in the development of the international relations, while the traditional distinctions between the categories of migrants are no longer relevant. The rise and evolution of racism can not be explained by cyclical or ideological factors, it is necessary to seek their relationship in the deep social changes during the last 20 or 30 years. There is still no a unified European philosophy about solving the problem of the migration crisis faced by the EU. A feeling of insecurity has been growing in the ordinary citizens due to the globalization and the crisis in Europe. Globalisation has led to imbalance in the religious and social inequalities in the world. There is no protection over the personal security. A huge refugee wave, caused by the military conflict in the Middle East and North Africa, is being directed in the recent years to the European continent, choosing the Balkan route. Bulgaria is a part of the Balkan route, but somehow remains off the main route – The West Balkan route, becoming a transit corridor on the way of the refugees to the Western and Central Europe. A number of factors have defined our country as a transit corridor and determine the mood of the local population to the refugee flow.

The aim of the current article is to evaluate the role of mobility in Pulievi's entrepreneurial endeavors during the Bulgarian Revival period. The in-depth analysis of their documents reveals the essence and nature of the mercantile network, which Todor Puliev together with his sons Hristo, Nikola and Ivan and later on his grandsons Todor and Nikola Hristovi Pulievi build. On the other hand, the study takes into account the trips, which the family undertakes across the Bulgarian lands, as well as in Wallachia, Moldavia and Southern Russia in order to accomplish their business dealings. What is more, the author traces Nikola Hristov Puliev down to Marseille, where he is known to have negotiated with local merchants. Overall, the greatest merit of the current study remains the revelation that even though Pulievi stand at the intersection between the old and the new, they never really abandon the traditional way of doing business i.e. through travelling.
