Дефекты травматического происхождения на палеоантропологических материалах эпохи раннего металла Волго-Уралья
The paper focuses on the military traumas in the craniological materials of the Eneolithic and the Early Bronze Age in the Volga-Urals region. Lesions are studied in relation to the types of attack weapons. Statistical analysis of the trauma occurrence and character suggests a certain historical dynamics. Increased traumas can be seen during the Middle Bronze Age among the Tamar-Utkul/Ilek group of the Southern Urals and the Abashevo/Lbishche. The Srubnaya culture in the Late Bronze Age demonstrates the smallest number of traumas. These rates are indicative of a general social situation and are very important for reconstruction of relations between ancient communities.
