Aspects of semantic features in the Albanian lexicon, and in particular the aspects of polysemantics and homo-semantics have been the scope of studies either in isolation or in interaction with one another, but as well they have been studies in relation to many other phenomena such as: the root of the meaning (Thomai,2009), synonymy (Islamaj, 1985) etc. A study of these two phenomena which are closely inter-related is both of theoretical and practical value. In particular, the practical value is directly related to the compilation of explanatory and translation dictionaries (Thomai, 1972), which serves as an interface of the semantic structures of words

In the article in question, it will be analyzed the concept of “black humour”, one of the four main pillars, which sustained the surrealist creativity. In more specific terms, they are: automat writing, insane love and objective chance. As one of the strongest expressive means of surrelist writers, black humour turned into their symbol in order to better convey the objection against the reality of time. Colorations of black humour will be analyzed in comparative platform at the following writers: Francis Picabia, Jacques Rigaut and Nikos Engonopoulos, who converge into a common thematic point – death. Through the analysis of several parts selected by them, I will also reveal the similarities in expression, poetical images used, but on the other side, their particularities as well.

Medicine has a lot of principles that need to be complied with especially when it comes to saving the life of the individual and, at the same time, respecting his rights. Today there are increasingly more cases of malpraxis either because these principles are not fully complied with or out of negligence. We believe that one of the most important principles of medicine is autonomy, whereas it is essential for the individual to act in accordance with his principles and values or those of the society where he lives. In this paper I shall analyze the concept of autonomy and its relationship with transhumanism. I shall argue that within human enhancement - whether cognitive enhancement or human enhancement - the individual must be autonomous and must be able to decide regarding his maximum benefit. We believe that human bioenhancement is a project that – when put into practice - could have negative consequences, since moral enhancement is rather seen as a danger to the freedoms and autonomy of the individual

The specificity and the principal characteristics of agriculture in Thrace during the first millennium BC are reconstructed based on analysis of the ancient written sources, summing up of the archaeological evidence (mostly farming tools), iconographic information, archaeo-zoological, archaeo-botanical and palynological data, as well as on observations on the periodic climate changes during that period. They testify to the existence of developed agriculture in many regions of Ancient Thrace, which was characterised by good knowledge in agronomy, a visible agricultural calendar and gradual introduction of new economic strategies, which were among the factors responsible for the socio-economic changes in Thrace. Agriculture and stockbreeding were integrated and that can be seen from the grain remains found (including seed grain) together with bones of domestic animals in the same sites. Agriculture secured food above all by growing a wide variety of cereal and leguminous crops, vineyards, fruits and vegetables, bees and domestic animals. Parallel with that they produced raw materials for making clothing and textiles (wool, furs and leather, and industrial crops like hemp and flax). Draught animals and horses for the Thracian cavalry were also raised. During the second half of the first millennium BC, agricultural production became an important element in the foreign trade of the Thracian states.

The educational system has undergone many changes since 1990 until nowadays. Today the teacher is seen as an extra worker in the public administration, thus the respect for his/her teaching efforts has diminished. Since the issue of the need for ethics in schools has been raised more and more often, we propose the ethics committee as a method of assessment. In this paper we want to bring a new proposal to the education system, i.e. the ethics committees, which are commissions able to determine the behaviors of individuals in educational institutions. We believe these committees are necessary since at institutions level there are deviations both among professionals and beneficiaries

New tv series are the result and co- relate of the so- called quality television. The prototype and the model of such type of television is the American tv station HBO that – while maintaining its own, recognizable artistic identity – is forced to deal with the specifically American mechanism of the tv market: the necessity to compete between the stations for the attention of more and more competent and discriminate viewer. The author describes the history and the current actions of HBO in the situation where tv medium evolves incessantly and is reshaped as a result of the social, technological, legal processes within its environment. HBO is the station that enjoys the stable success in these changing conditions.

The paper presents theoretical and methodological frame, research tools and main results of the research project carried out in 2009-2012, funded by UNWE. I have been working in this research field since 2004-2009 in the ASSA-M demographic and sociological research project on: „Family and marriage. Fertility and reproduction of population. Demographic situation and perspectives“. In 2014, ASSA-M Agency continued to monitor the development of the processes and tendencies in the field by representative surveys. The family is seen not only as an object of economic and market entrepreneurship. But as a direct economic entity – a comparable resource for entrepreneurship, investment and economic activity. The family also has indirect economic functions, as far as it is a fundamental „non-economic“ factor for economic modernization, civil framework and incentive or an obstacle for modernization. The paper analyses both direct and indirect economic functions of contemporary Bulgarian family. The family is positioned in the system of factors of economic and social modernization of Bulgaria. The family as a „non-economic factor“ is analyzed in 6 thematic fields: (1) direct economic functions: business property tax credit obligations; (2) preparation for work, motivated and productive work; (3) professional development, career stability; (4) solvency and material standard; (5) consumer activity; (6) human capital, social (dis)integration. Here I venture to emphasize three research achievements: (1) business and economic functions (direct and indirect) of the modern family are defined in system scope; (2) some basic blocks of empirical indicators on key areas of implementation of the modern family as a direct business-economic entity, together with its role as a major „non-economic“ factor for modernization of the Bulgarian economy are operationalized (original questionnaire); (3) a methodology for comparative data analysis has been elaborated.

The motives behind the choice of this study could be presented in the following way: 1. Topic is significant and of present interest for our society, particularly for its thinking part. 2. Topic is a problem of the hour and debatable. 3. There is a small amount of publications abroad and at home. 4. I have been working for a long period of time on the issues of personality, its behavior, the freedom of its choice and the constraints that limit it. My researcher’s interest, as well as its realization in this study, is focused on the issue of the freedom of personality. In order to develop the problem for the individual freedom, it was necessary to “pass“ through elaboration of the issues of personality, its behaviour and the constraints it experienced, which stem from the society. All this is in the context of the problem for the freedom of the personality. Writing this study, I have used the deductive approach. In my opinion it is suitable and gives good results. The topic is developed mainly from a psychological and partly from a sociological point of view. I consider this combination to be justified and successful. The main thesis in the study is: “Personality might be free, that it must be free, but it is not free“. The way I have elaborated on my reasoning is not impossibly optimistic, but it is not desperately pessimistic, either. The way I have elaborated on my reasoning, analysis and findings is realistic. At the end of the study it is pointed out that the only alternative to societal constraints on personality is establishing and maintaining direct democracy!

The study examines international migrations as a network theory object. The re¬search field spreads through the question: What is the analytical potential of network theories in migration? What are the theoretical concepts, key for migrations proceses and research? The main thesis of this study is limited to the statement that today net¬work theories are the most appropriate analytical approach to migration with episte¬mological potential to improve integration through social capital. Network theories allow us to see migration not only through individual decisions of migrating but as a general result – product of interpersonal, interactions, embed¬ded in the economic and political environment; reveals the essence of contemporary migration as a „self-sustaining“; balanced micro and meso level analysis – there is room for a whole range of subjects: family, friends, employers. Reaching also through macro level: remittances, information flow and migration policies. Migrations are placed on a continuum that can be analyzed through the social capital of the participants in the migration networks. An attempt was made to present the possibilities for the integration process of social immigrant capital. The analysis is supported by data from: an empirical study on the topic „Social networks and so¬cial capital of immigrants in Bulgaria“ conducted within the project financed by the Research Activity of University of National and World Economy in 2014, publica¬tions of the National Bank of Bulgaria; World Bank researches, data from Eurostat and some basic parameters of the European migration policy, best practices and stra¬tegic documents.

The aim of this paper is to analyse Croatian adolescents’ clothing buying motives and their retail store selection criteria. The paper examined their preferences, attitudes and behaviours when buying clothes - whether adolescents with different primary clothing motives would have similar or different store selection criteria. Also, the paper determined how today’s adolescents spend money on clothes and whether they are more inclined to purchase branded clothes or not. Finally, the paper explained whether Croatian adolescents prefer purchasing in small or large specialized apparel stores, or whether they are more prone to online purchasing or even buying clothes in second-hand shops. Also, the society influences in forming adolescents’ attitudes and decisions towards store selection and purchasing preferences of clothes were examined. The research findings showed that shopping centres are the preferred retail format. In addition, adolescents do not have a fully developed attitude on fashion and clothing. Therefore, they strongly refer to opinions of family and friends when choosing clothes. Moreover, the Internet and TV are evaluated as influential channels of consumer communication within this particular group of consumers. Based on the findings, suggestions for service management and marketing strategies are provided for apparel retail companies that target adolescents.

In presenting the unfolding of the Economic Thought during decades and centuries, in order to fillthe gaps in this holistic vision, or to highlight some aspects in time and space, we found it necessaryto evidence one of these moments. It is about the third decade of the 20th century, in USSR,starring in the spotlight the thinker and politician Evgeni Alekseyevich Preobrazhensky (1886-1937).He was the thinker, in the troubled period after Lenin‟s death and Stalin‟s rising, by tryingbackground and imposing of so-called New Economic Policy (NEP), but very well to be understoodas The New Economics. Better said, he tried to find theoretical features to support this policy, which emerged and was implemented in the early Bolshevik years after WWI in Russia/USSR. Theimportant ideas and measures stipulated by Preobrazhensky resist decades and are still valuable inour days. The study of Preobrazhensky‟s writings must be done, either in the context of his doctrinalera, including famous thinkers as Alfred Marshall or John Maynard Keynes and in the context oftoday‟s approach on Political Economy
