MUSICAL INDICATORS OF HISTORICAL PROCESSUALITY IN THE PARALLELISMS OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHINA AND EUROPE

The purpose of given work is to discover musical signs of historic knowledge in connection with the reality of chronological parallelisms of musical development of China and Europe of the Middle Ages and New Time. Methodological basis of the work is an idea about a tone of epoch, put forward by G.Hegel and evolved in the conception of Renaissance by A. Losev. Scientific novelty of the study is determined by the fact that for the first time it indicates synchronization of culture reformations of development of China and Europe, provided that, historically interaction and interinfluence were excepted. Conclusions. "New relationship" (after C. Jung) reveals itself – "semantic acausal relationship", which allows to understand the regular nature of chronological coincidences in the history of music culture of China and Europe.

The Value of the Soul in the Religious Views. An Overview targeting the Salvation of an Individual

The Soul is considered, both for religions and philosophy, to be the immaterial aspect or essence of a human being, conferring individuality and humanity, often considered to be synonymous with the mind or the self. For most theologies, the Soul is further defined as that part of the individual, which partakes of divinity and transcends the body in different explanations. But, regardless of the philosophical background in which a specific theology gives the transcendence of the soul as the source of its everlasting essence – often considered to survive the death of the body –, it is always appraised as a higher existence for which all should fight for. In this regard, all religious beliefs assert that there are many unseen battles aiming to take hold of the human soul, either between divinity and evil, or between worlds, or even between the body and the soul itself. These unseen battles over the human soul raging in the whole world made it the central item of the entire universe, both for the visible and the unseen worlds, an item of which whoever takes possession will also become the ruler of the universe. Through this philosophy, the value of the soul became abysmal, incommensurable, and without resemblance. The point for making such a broad overview of the soul in religious beliefs is the question of whether we can build an interfaith discourse based on the religions’ most debated and valuable issue, soul?

Moral Entertainment – The Buddhist Hell Parks of Thailand

Visiting Hell parks is a popular pastime in contemporary Thailand. Situated near Buddhist temples, these gruesome sculpture gardens depict the Buddhist vision of Hell. These grotesque and violent sculptures are usually seen as an oddity and a form of low art. Perhaps for this reason, they are rarely studied by scholars. This article focuses on the parks as modern entertainment. Usually found in rural areas, these spots try to answer the challenges of the commercialisation and globalisation of Thai society. A detailed analysis of four Hell parks, Wang Saen Suk, Wat Pa Lak Roi, Wat Pa Non Sawan and Wat Pa Thewapithak, shows that these religious amusement parks serve not only as means of entertainment but are also places of Buddhist morality.

A Phenomenological Quest for the Concepts of Dasein in Tribal Metaphysical Enterprise: Prospect towards Tribal Onto-Theology

It is misunderstood that tribal people have no proper awareness of phenomena of a thing. Perhaps it is for this reason that in any academic scholarship concerning tribal state of affairs, metaphysics in particular and philosophy in general has been dislocated from tribal enterprise. Their physical problems such as landlessness, hunger, poverty including liberation from these sufferings have been the age-old headlines in tribal studies. Many have miscalculated that tribal people solely rely on the objective revelation in defining reality without truly participating in it. In fact, tribal people suspend neither subjective nor objective affirmation; they keep harmonious relationship between the two. It is in the harmonious environment through being in the world that tribal identity has been acknowledged, and the objective truth has also been understood. Being-in-the-world (Dasein) as a methodology for doing tribal theology helps tribal in building authentic existence and in direction towards ontological theology.

A Comparative Overview between Zangs gling ma and Previous Texts on Padmasambhava

This paper compares the five texts regarding Padmasambhava written before Zangs gling ma (dBa’ bzhed and four manuscripts discovered in Dunhuang - Pelliot tibétain 44, IOL Tib J 321, IOL Tib J 644 and Pelliot tibétain 307) with the texts from Zangs gling ma, in an attempt to identify similarities and differences between them and to reach conclusions resulting from examining them together. The paper also addresses the question of historical credibility of Zangs gling ma, taking into consideration its connection with dBa’ bzhed, as well as the question on length of Padmasambhava’s stay in Tibet, by identifying texts in Zangs gling ma that refer to places in Tibet where the master stayed.

Уникалността на духовното наследство в културно-религиозната матрица на Древния изток

The article starts from the thesis that the ancient East is a unique space, time and donor of the cultural beginning in a world that has lost the humane sense of authentic culture and exists without clarity about the relationship of tension between culture and civilization. The ancient East is an example of quality, and not so much of quantity, of its cultural and religious heritage. Nowhere has the religious managed to dominate everyday experience as it is demonstrated by Eastern teachings. The sense of existentiality of the experience and unity with everything while maintaining a sacred attitude towards the pure springs of spirituality is a great merit of the East. Unique are the rituals, meanings and methods we have available to develop our knowledge in the most profound way – as self-knowledge. Rediscovering the East through a critical and reflexive methodology, today we again have the lost productive potential of the religious and the authentic cultural.

Feminine Origin in the Cosmogonic Ideas of the Slavic and Eastern Philosophy: a Comparative Analysis

The article is devoted to a comparative analysis of the role of the feminine principle in the cosmogonic ideas of the Slavic peoples and the philosophy of the Ancient East, in particular, India and China, to the establishment of common and distinctive features of female personification. The authors conclude that the ancient tribal culture, which was based on the logic of nature, the maintenance of the world in unity and the balance of opposites, was much more favorable to women than monotheistic religions, which affirmed the sinful nature of women. Ideas about the origin and development of the universe occupy a central place in the mythological heritage, in the cosmic processes and powerful forces of nature, the unbreakable harmony of male and female principles can be traced, where male energy consists in the idea of fertilization, and female energy – in birth and creation. In every mythological system, there is a character of the Mother Goddess, who acts as a co-creator of the world and living beings, but with the establishment of the patriarchal system, the mythological paradigm undergoes changes, and the female principle is gradually recognized as secondary, or it was completely leveled in the processes of world creation. The archetype of the Great Mother reflects the functioning of human values and runs through the entire history of philosophy and culture.

The work aims to present how comparative aesthetics as such, in a sense of transcultural aesthetics, has been actual and that its justification has been found inside architectural parts of Japanese architect Tadao Ando. Besides, the author has been seeking to register and percieve all the elements of Ando’s architecture which on one side its basis and origin find in Western architecture while on the other hand aimes to illuminate the crucial moments of Ando’s work whose existence has been based on traditional Japanese (Eastern) aesthetics of emptiness. Moreover, the interpretative approach has been mostly guided by Figal reflexive notes/references which thematize both important guidilenes of contemporary architecture as well as fundamental concepts of Ando’s work.
