The comparative data on structure, number and biomass of soil mesofauna depending on a productivity of the vegetation of inundated meadows are presented. The increase of the vegetation productivity of meadows is accompanied by the augmentation of number and biomass of soil invertebrates. However under conditions of overwetting the number and biomass decrease despite the augmentation of economic efficiency of the vegetation.

Біолого-екологічна характеристика трав’яного покриву липо-ясеневої діброви центральної заплави р. Самара

Floristic composition of the grass and phytocenotic activity of species in the floodplain forest were studied in the Prysamar’ya region. It is ascertained that investigated phytocenosis has characteristic signs of the floodplain forest: in the spectrum of biomorphes the hemicryptophytes and vegetatively mobile species are prevalent. At the same time among ecomorphs the mesophytes, mesotrophes, heliosciophytes and silvantes are usual. The results of phytoindication analysis confirmed the favourable ecological conditions for the forest geobiocenoses forming. The grass cover of the studied forest ecosystem for the last 40 years remained stable enough: 70 % of the registered species in the past are found there. The typical silvantes are dominanted, but the index of the total projective cover is low.silvantes

The accumulation of litter on upland meadows in the studied area was calculated as 30.9–190.1 g/m2. For convenience the reserves can be divided into three groups. Depending on the weather conditions (temperature and rainfall) the litter consists of particular groups and has specific content of solid matter. The energy content of the studied meadows’ litter fluctuated in the range of 36.9–837.0 kkal/m2 and depends on the part of grass stand: upper, middle or lower one.

Анализ растительности колковых лесных экосистем северной степи украины

Conducted analysis of forest vegetation has allowed selecting and specifying classification and typological units of the aspen-and-birch separated small woods, which have statistically significant difference of ecotopic and coenotic parameters. Those parameters of studied forest ecosystems are characterised. Existence of the lines of hygrogenic and edaphogenic substitution, and succession rows are described. Phytoindication description of ecological factors’ pivotal conditions is presented. Driving factors determining parameters, structure and composition of the aspen-and-birch forest ecosystems are diminishing soil moisture, increasing annual temperatures amplitude and soil acidity.

Інтенсивність дихання лучних рослин лівобережного лісостепу україни

The intensity of respiration of poic species of Magnoliopsida 14 families (Dycotyledons) class and 2 families of Liliopsida (Monocotyledons) class was studied. The variation limits of that value were from 0.1 up to 1.54 mg С02/g of wet weight per hour. The most species had the respiration intensity at a level of 0.21–0.59 mg С02∕g of wwt per hour. Особливості флори судинних і мохоподібних рослин ландшафтного заказника “грофа” (Українські Карпати, масив Ґорґани)

Information about the landscape reserve of state wide value «Grofa» is presented. The floristic composition of forest and meadow associations of the reserve has been investigated. Typical and rare species for these phytocenoses have been revealed. The rare species and plants from the Red Data Book have been described. As a results of our investigation 117 species (87 Bryophyta and 30 Marshantiophyta) have been recorded. Species representation of bryophytes in widespread communities has been described.

Species composition, dominant species and quantitative characteristics of zooplankton in different habitats of the littoral shallow part of the Rybinsk Reservoir were studied at the end of august 2009. In the structure of zooplankton community 75 taxa have been found among which crustaceans are prevailed. The most of them belong to littoral forms. The highest values of abundance and biomass of zooplankton and density accumulation of young fish are recorded in mouth parts of rivers in flowing the reservoir.

Склад ліпідів у насінні гіркокаштана звичайного, клена гостролистого та дуба звичайного в умовах дніпропетровського регіону

Parameters of lipids metabolism such as a level of total lipids and their composition, and composition of free fatty acids in the chestnut, maple and oak seeds from several polluted sites of Dnipropetrovsk were investigated. The decrease of the content of total lipids in chestnut and maple seeds and increase in the oak seeds under conditions of industrial pollution have been found. The reduction of free fatty acids fraction in seeds of all studied trees is recorded. The revealed changes in the content of total lipids and their composition in trees’ seeds may reflect the adaptation possibilities to anthropogenic pollution in industrial region.

Структура та різноманіття наземної мезофауни консорцій ulmus і populus промислових ділянок гірничо-металургійного комплексу кривбасу

The structure and biological diversity of ground mesofauna on a consortium level of organisation of ecosystems are considered. Indicators of structural organisation and biodiversity of ground mesofauna were analysed in Ulmus and Populus consortia in the conditions of industrial territories of mining and smelting complex of Krivyi Rig Basin. It is established that taxonomical structure of ground mesofauna is characterised by insignificant number and quantity of taxonomical groups. Prevalence of hortobionts and herpetobionts in morpho-ecological structure of the community testifies to their attachment to consortium’s determinants and influence of steppe climate on its structure. Dominance of phytophages and polyphages in trophic structure is caused by a combination of consortium determinants specificity and «a zone source» of the fauna formations. The structural organisation of ground mesofauna in consortia of Ulmus and Populus in the conditions of industrial sites is characterized by simplified taxonomical structure with low biodiversity at all levels.

The specific trophic preferences of Pterostichus melanarius (Illiger, 1798) as one of the mass ground litter zoophages of Steppe Dnieper area forests are investigated. Taxonomic, size-weight, trophic and coenomorphic structures of potential food objects offered to the P. melanarius were analysed. P. melanarius choice criteria of potential food objects were established: hardness of exoskeleton and size of victims and also victim’s ability for fast moving.

Data on the expansion of the use the plants growth regulators in different areas are presented. The positive impact of the growth stimulators on the development of the Pleurotus ostreatus mycelium’s on agar nutrient media during surface cultivation is shown. The results for growth regulators stimulating effect on the fungus biosynthetic activity in submerged cultures are obtained. The possibility of using fumar and heteroauxin for malting is considered. The decline of malting time and increase of amylolytic activity of the malt are recorded.

Інтенсивність фотосинтезу лучних рослин лівобережного лісостепу україни

The intensity of photosynthesis is studied in species of 20 families of Magnoliophyta (Angiospermae). It is revealed that in general, dicotyledons have a higher rate in comparison with the monocotyledonous plant by 10.0 %. The average values with limits from 3.6 to 39.3 mg СО2/dm2 per year are given. The studied species are classified by the ability to assimilate СО2. The rate dependence on a biomorph and hygromorph is determined. It is stressed that rhizome species have sufficient and high values of that rate. The dynamics of values during ontogenesis and impact of weather conditions on them are shown.

Информативность видов при оценке местообитаний фитоиндикационными методами для северостепных дубрав украины

The correction methods of the species position in a factor space on ecological scales are characterised for the regional phytoindication research by example of the oak wood herbage of Northern Steppe of Ukraine (Dnipropetrovsk region). The variation of the species coordinates in the space of ecological factors is described depending on a community (or elements of landscapes) location. The significant difference between computed regional evaluations of species location coordinates and their location in ecological scales are illustrated too. The obligatoriness of species coordinates correction in the factor space of edaphic factors is substantiated for phytoindication. This correction for climatic factorsis recommended.

Investigation of the infection rate of carp fish infected by cat liver fluke larvae in the Dnieper River within the Dnipropetrovsk city was carried out. In a parallel way we collected the helminth carriers – molluscs Bіthinia inflata in the inundated reservoirs. The helminths larvae in fish and molluscs were not found. That can testify to the absence of threat of opisthorchiasis to the city inhabitants.
