From the beginning of their activity, all the great Romanian Slavists, starting with B. P. Hasdeu, I. Bogdan, P. Cancel, N. Cartojan, P. P. Panaitescu, and continuing with exegetes that were especially affirmed after the Second World War (I. C. Chiţimia, G. Mihăilă, Dan Horia Mazilu, Dan Zamfirescu) understood the importance of researching the connections between culture ancient Romanian and the south-eastern and central European space. Their studies revealed the particularities of our culture, its connections with the Byzantine world through the Slavic intermediary, taking over and adapting models, but also the effort of creation and own thinking, manifested in largely original texts and chronicles (see Neagoe Basarab's Teachings). A real the pioneer in this direction was the scholar N. Cartojan, who intuited and promoted the main links and spiritual bridges between our culture and the Byzantine world, as well as the western one. Thanks to Cartojan, his young assistant Ion Constantin Chițimia receives a scholarship to study in Poland (1934-1938), which will enable him to learn the language and thoroughly acquire old Polish literature and folklore under the guidance of the scholar Julian Krzyżanowski. In the academic year 1948/1949, I. C. Chițimia will lay the foundations of the department of Polish philology at the University of Bucharest, contributing to the organization from the beginning and the consolidation of Slavic studies in post-war Romania.

CROPWAT 8.0 model was used to estimate the water requirement of pineapple for the 2021/22 cropping period, considering all the months in the year. This was done to ascertain which months in the year have lower irrigation water requirements and where water savings can be made. For the months of December to August, irrigation requirement (mm) of 140, 145.1, 113.3, 110.8, 110.9, 145.9, 107.6 and 114, respectively was determined at the study site. However, sucker planting in September, October and November has shown requirements (mm) of 72.8, 61.3, 61.4 respectively, and adjusting the planting calendar to accommodate these months is recommended.

This article focuses on parameter estimation of the population dynamics of tilapia fish in Limboto Lake, Indonesia. The parameter estimation aims to determine the current condition of the population and its sustainability in the future. The research was conducted in 2022, 243 tilapia fish were analysed as a sample using a quantitative descriptive method. Based on the findings and analysis, it shows that there is an isometric relationship between the length and weight of the fish with a coefficient of determination of 96% and the current exploited rate is above the optimal exploited level. Therefore, this condition indicates that there is over-exploitation of the ability of the population, which can cause population loss in the future.
