ЗА ЕДИН „ШАРАП ТАШ“ С КИРИЛСКИ НАДПИС
Thе present article is dedicated to a pagan altar slab (sharap tash) with an inscription in Cyrilic found in Provadia. There are letters which read: миги ‘moments’ and a title for numerical value, probably pointing to a certain year, as well as the word: яснъ (Avest. yasna [yuhs-nuh] 'victim', cf. yajna in ‘Rigveda’ and mazdayasna). It refers to the Zoroastrian hymn 'Jasna', in which the divine plant Chaoma / Soma is sacrificed (Avest. from hav- 'squeeze'). The altar testifies that the sacrifice "jasna" was also performed after the adoption of Christianity in the 10th century.
