The main problems discussed in this article are related to the study of the effects of the epidemiological situation imposed due to the spread of the coronavirus epidemic on education in Bulgaria through the prism of the labour market. The dynamics of the labour market have been empirically studied and the results show that the crisis with COVID 19 has an impact both economically and socially and at the sectoral level, where a number of structural problems and challenges to public policies and the education system come to the fore. Many sectors have failed to recover, and in combination with quarantine measures and digitalization as a means of maintaining activity, this requires a rethinking of work, knowledge and skills. The education system could provide the necessary knowledge and skills to the workforce, so that in the future the digitalization and flexibility of production and trade in goods and services could become a key factor in dealing with such external shocks.

Речеви стратегии и пандемията от COVID-19

The interest in monitoring and analyzing the speech messages in the context of the coronavirus pandemic is due to two hypotheses related to the responsible Bulgarian institutions, some medical workers and media. The first is that they do not have enough knowledge and skills to select and direct useful and correct information in crisis situation. The second hypothesis is that they do not present appropriate mechanisms for the formation of socially useful behavior in moments of required mass mobilization in a certain direction. I look for a reason for both hypotheses in the media messages related to the pandemic. That is why in this article I make the comparison between two French and two Bulgarian newspapers, as the excerpted material was taken only within one day, something like a snapshot. The comparison shows that the French have a unified speech strategy for reaching the reader and forming public opinion, while in the Bulgarian ones it is partially or completely absent.

The paper traces the long-term influence of the French language on the formation of Bulgarian phraseology. Distinct periods during which the French influence on Bulgarian is especially strong are analyzed. Hypotheses of individual scholars about the calquing of French phrasemes both in Bulgarian and internationally are commented on. Idioms, conventional metaphors and metonymies, loan translations of verb paraphrases, and other types of collocations are discussed. Since the French influence is both literary and oral in Bulgarian from the National Revival Period to the present day, both slang and colloquial expressions based on the French model are used. Through a comparative study of a translation done during the Revival, an attempt is made to outline the specifics of borrowing in the field of phraseology in the years before the Liberation.

This text attempts to trace a hidden archetype in nineteenth-century Russian literature and how it works in Dostoevsky. As much as there is a lot of space in the metaliterature of the Russian troika, understood as a horses driving and its symbolic metamorphosis of a bird-trio in Gogol, the emphasis here is on the topic, which I can call the “other Russian troika (trio)”. It is about the presence of an almost sacred three-dimensional character, who at one point is attacked and overturned against his presumption of holiness by a fourth demonological hero and a serious battle for his re-sacralization is imminent. Set by the three Baroque witches in Shakespeare's “Macbeth”, led by Hekate, this model was first tested in nineteenth-century Russian literature by Pushkin in “A Tale of Tsar Saltan”, and then in two stages, feminized and masculinized, developed by Dostoevsky in “The Idiot” and “The Karamazov Brothers”, respectively, and finally finds its triumphant ending in Chekhov's “Three Sisters”, whose character system parodies that of “The Idiot”. Why is Dostoevsky such an important link in the listed paradigm?

The article focuses on Michael Ondaatje’s novel The English Patient, which deals with the issues of identity, belonging to the nation, family, community, friends. According to the ideas of the text, the realization through the Other, the care of the person whom you “flowed into”, whose soul has become more important than family and homeland, is the empathy that is necessary to overcome pain, war, loss and boundaries. The time in the novel unfolds in a specific historical period, against the backdrop of one of the most tragic episodes of the twentieth century, yet the culturological context of The English Patient includes the Antiquity and Renaissance art, history and music, fine arts, as well as the European prose of the XIX century. By shaking the idea of national priorities, the narrative, shows that the history of European civilization is irreducible to simply war and destruction.

In this case, the chosen concept is the notion of crisis, which has been central to medicine since antiquity, has marked with meanings all subsequent epochs, and has become significant for our entire modernity. In short, it shows how medical connotations carry over to unrestricted uses in the broader context of language, and the concept of crisis is open to uses of different orders and in diverse contexts. To arrive at the conviction that its use as a metaphor for states of decline, failure, degeneration, ruin prevails. It is said to be a crisis, but as in medicine, it refers to deterioration.

Natural Consciousness and Absolute Knowledge: the Notion of Philosophy as Established in Hegel’s „The Phenomenology of Spirit“

This research provides an analysis of the role of ‘natural consciousness’ and ‘absolute knowledge’ in the process of establishing the notion of philosophy in Hegel’s The Phenomenology of Spirit. The author seeks to show that ‘natural consciousness’ does not disappear in the first approaches to The Phenomenology, but rather, it continues to act as the subject of the ‘experience of consciousness’ until the end. The material analysis directly related to the evolution of ‘natural consciousness’ in the first stages of ‘experience’ particularly supports the hypothesis about the philosopher’s work on the book. The results obtained can be seen as a validation of the idea that the usual notions of overcoming ‘natural consciousness’ already in the first ‘experiences of consciousness’ do not correspond to its fundamental role in establishing the notion of philosophy in The Phenomenology of Spirit. It represents not only the starting point of the phenomenological movement but it is also involved in the ‘reversals of consciousness’ at every stage of the ‘experience,’ which is important to take into account for the correct evaluation of the specificity of The Phenomenology of Spirit and the comprehension of the nature of philosophical knowledge as the main result of this Hegelian work.

From the antiquity to nowadays the connection between philosophy and medicine is of substantive importance. One of the outstanding figures for medicine as Hippocrates of Kos, named “the father of medicine”, built the fundamental principals of medicine as rational endeavour. The other important figure in late antiquity – Claudius Galenus or Galen of Pergamon –made an important thesis that a good doctor is a philosopher too (work That the Best Physician is also a Philosopher). This work analyses the questions concerning contemporary relationships between philosophy and medicine today. One of the central topics is focused on contemporary criteria for medical theory, research and practice. In the beginning of the 90s, the so-called Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) formulated specific methodological features that medicine has to aspire to. Today, every field of medicine is based on the principles formulated by EBM. This gives grounds for a number of authors to talk about a "new paradigm" in medical science and practice and to base this idea on the EBM movement. The present paper will analyse the discussion of whether EBM is a paradigm according to Kuhn’s idea of a “paradigm shift”, and will critically analyse scientific change situation in the context of modern medicine (scientific and social aspects).

Стил на взаимоотношение между ученици и учители в училищна среда

The article presents results of a research of student – teacher relationship styles in the school environment, measured by the stroke economy. The sample includes 339 students between the ages of 13 to 15, of whom 198 are from vulnerable and 141 are from invulnerable groups, and 229 teachers between the ages of 24 to 65. The results present significant differences in the styles used by the three groups. Students from vulnerable groups declare preferences for the styles “Don't accept” and “Don't give yourself”, which is expressed in a tendency to devalue their own achievements and successes. Students from invulnerable groups and teachers express preferences for the styles “Don't accept” and “Don't ask”, which suggests manifestations of characteristics such as confidence and a tendency to reject compliments. The obtained results can be used as an approach to increase the efficiency of the student-teacher relationship and improve the social climate in the classroom.

The aim of the present study is to explore the relationships in the field of creativity and creative motivation as factors for achieving psychological well-being and flourishing, as well as their presence within various psychological profiles. Hypotheses have been raised in order to measure the presence of creativity indicators within certain psychological types in relation to the level of creative motivation and flourishing. The survey instruments used are: Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Torrance Creative motivation scale and Diener Flourishing Scale. The results presented are based on a pilot study conducted in Plovdiv. The sample includes people in early adulthood, authentic folklore dance performers.

Smart Cities and Digitalisation: A Research Agenda of Public Administration

The emerging smart cities framework and the core of next-generation information technology innovations serve as the landscape of near-future management of city development and e-Government systems guided by policies and strategies. Data science, or big data is an essential area for governments as data is collected in various forms of e-commerce, traffic, security, energy, and geographical aspects as well as data sharing from private sector data. This paper is aimed at evaluating the extent of development of smart cities in selected countries in Asia and the adoption of resources, connectivity, and business coordinations in promoting technology and deployment of innovation for public administration. Meta literature and case studies are employed in this paper, focusing on the publications from year 2000 onward to capture the latest development in smart cities and digitalization. The findings contribute to research agenda and practical implications thus far in advancing our understandings of smart cities and digitalization transformation in the pursuit of smart city development in and around Asia as this is yet to be reviewed. Consequently, this paper paves the way towards a better understanding of the extent of smart city initiatives and development in and around Asia. A unified methodology in the application of the comparative approach

As real estate is one of the most valuable assets of any state and any individual, the valuation process takes on a special significance. Valuations are required of different interests in different types of property for different purposes. Among the methods used to determine the value of a property, the simplest and most direct method of valuation is direct comparison. The method is based on comparing the property to be valued with similar properties and the prices achieved for them, and allowing for differences between them to determine the market value. The art of the comparison method is the discovery of relevant data and the subsequent analysis. Comparison can be defined as ‘the act of comparing’ and to compare as “to examine in order to observe resemblances or differences”. As property is unique, no two are truly the same, the problem lies in the adjustment to be made to the comparable to fit the property being valued.Are known and accepted (within certain limits) the differences in the values reported by different appraisers for the same property and for the same purpose of valuation , but daily contacts with appraisers and appraisals prove that there are significant differences in the reported values. These changes are not simply the result of judgments of different appraisers, but mainly the result of changes in the methodologies used for evaluation.In this perspective the paper proposes the use of a unified methodology in the application of the direct comparison method in order to narrow such differences. The study includes residential and commercial buildings in the Tirana City.

Digital marketing and outdoor advertising in smart cities

The paper focuses on analyzing the key aspects digital marketing, outdoor advertising and smart cities. It studies the foundations traditional marketing - the establishment of its theoretical framework and its development throughout the years. The articles aims at finding out what is the crossing point between digital outdoor advertising, urban areas and smart cities residents. It puts main focus on the promotional part of the mix and analyzes the new approaches in terms of using online channels. Through content analysis the main aspects of digital marketing, smart cities and outdoor advertising are being studied – the development of the definition of marketing; what digital is; the difference between digital and online; what the new opportunities before marketers in using online channels are, as part of the digital ones. The paper suggests an additional component of smart cities – interactivity. It sets examples from outdoor traditional advertising and digital advertising that is placed on cities’ billboards, buildings and public transport with main focus on interactivity. The articles is to be of interest to academicians, practitioners and students in the sphere of marketing, advertising, sales promotion and communication.

The paradigm for sustainable development is becoming increasingly popular in the education system. It integrates ESD principles into all levels of education. One of its goals is to form competencies for sustainable development. The research uses the methods of pedagogical research: critical review of the literature, content analysis of curricula, methodological modeling. The research focuses on the methodology for effective implementation of ESD in school practice. The purpose of the present study is to interpret highlights from the content of ESD; explore opportunities for the formation of competencies for sustainability in school practice; present models reflecting the main components of ESD and the interrelationships between them. This article contributes to expanding the debate on ESD and operationalizing the competencies for sustainability in a specific subject area.

Ученето чрез дизайн като прагматичен подход за подобряване на професионалното педагогическо образование

Pedagogical education is an important part of the higher education system in Bulgaria. Despite efforts to modernize this system over the past twenty years, there have been changes in the macro-frame of the system, only. On a micro level, such as curricula, curriculum content, teaching methods, stereotypical solutions are supported. There is therefore a need to reform traditional pedagogical education. One way is to change epistemology and teaching methods in undergraduate teacher programs. In the article, a specific example of student learning through an environmental education scenario is described. This will be done in the following steps: – a brief theoretical description of learning by design; – a description of the teaching and learning process through design in the specific example; – a description of ways and means of communication in the learning process. The report is one of the first steps towards conceptualizing research within an interdisciplinary project of the University in Plovdiv, related to the use of "green technologies" in people's daily lives. The article should therefore be regarded as a plan for carrying out the next activities in the project.
