Literarna ostavština krstjana Bosanske crkve i dualistički svjetonazor

In this contribution, the author first constitutes that the krstjani of Bosnia and Hum were accused of heresy and that different documents and sources call and define it differently which makes historians’ judgements about their religion based on those sources vary. By browsing through their literary legacy which is, as expected, not sufficient for a precise identification of their religious character, especially since that legacy is very scarce and fragmentary, stems the fact that in the preserved recorded sources of krstjan provenance only occasionally arise terms and formulations with a colouring of moderate or, in fact, negligible mild dualism, for example in the glossas of Srećković’s anthology and in the well-known legend of creation of world and mankind. Based on the past research of this matter, it seems reasonable to argue that the mentioned krstjan sources do not contain reliable information on the dualism in the teaching of the Bosnian Church.

The concept of GOD’S FACE as an anthropopathism in the Old Testament

The aim of the paper is to present the concept of GOD’S FACE functioning as an anthropopathism in the language of the Old Testament. According to biblical scholars, anthropopathisms along with anthropomorphisms constitute the metaphorical means for the personification of God in the Bible. It means that in biblical discourse, God is perceived as a human being by referring either to His appearance (anthropomorphism), or feelings, attitudes and ways of interaction with people (anthropopathism). Interestingly, from a linguistic perspective, the concept of FACE may function in language as a metonymy for emotions. In Anna Wierzbicka’s view, facial paralanguage replaces the linguistic production and it is possible to talk about “the semantics of facial expression.” In the Old Testament, the personified God’s facial paralanguage includes showing and hiding His face, turning it to/against people, as well as looking, listening and eating. Those descriptions exhibit numerous instances of the application of the concept of GOD’S FACE to express a variety of God’s feelings and attitudes towards people. The range of God’s emotions presented in this way involves both positive feelings, such as joy, peace and safety, as well as the negative ones, such as offence, anger or terror. Moreover, GOD’S FACE teaches and guides people or judges and destroys them. In addition, it can be observed that THE FACE FOR THE EXPRESSION OF EMOTIONS metonymy co-occurs with such metonymies as THE FACE for the person, the presence, the personality, and the confrontation with someone, producing complex interactions of conceptual mappings.

The article is focused on the word-formation of ethnonyms and names of inhabitants in the Four Gospels of Tsar Ivan Alexander from 14th century. From methodological aspect the analysis in the work is based on the theoretical postulates of the Czech linguist M. Dokulil (1962). They were applied for the first time in Bulgaria by Ivan Kochev when working with dialectal material in 1971. The conclusions of the word-formation analysis refers to the place and the volume of each of word-formation types and to the competition between the suffixes.

ИЗ ЗОГРАФСКИТЕ ФРАГМЕНТИ

The paper makes a short overview of the parchment fragments kept in the library of Zograf monastery on mount Athos. Then it throws attention to the oldest of them, Zograf folia, and characterizes some ot its paleographic and linguistic features. The paper further hypotesize that there are close parallels in orthography between Zograf folia, Old Russian manuscripts like Izbornik from 1073, Izbornik from 1076 and Menaion of Dobrian and the Athonite manuscripts from 13th-14th centuries. The review of these parallels concludes with information on electronically published new edition of Zograf fragments.

The article deals with some of the theoretical problems, related to the future catalogue description of the manuscripts of Zograf monastery on Mount Athos. Taking the Psalter manuscripts as a starting point, the author discusses terminological and analytical issues of the cataloguing. The second part of the text puts up specific problems, concerning three of the library’s “jewels”. Ms. 59, the so-called Psalter of Radomir, still hides unsolved liturgical calendar puzzles. Ms. 79, the Psalter of Avram Dimitrievich, one of the few Bulgarian manuscripts with chrysography, is notable not only for this fact, but also because its illumination forms a secondary semiotic system, revealing liturgical and theological topics. In addition, Ms. 104 contains fragments from a Psalter, that might be connected with the period of church flourishing in Moldavia under the rule of prince Stephen the Great, Ștefan cel Mare, or even with the prince himself.

The aim of the paper is to present some not popular or unknown attempts to systemize and interpret part of the vocabulary of the Banat Bulgarian literary language. This archaic Bulgarian dialect was codified as literary microlanguage because of historical circumstances. In 1896 the first and the only Bulgarian-Hungarian thematic dictionary was published - Kis magyar-bolgar szotar bolgar nepiskolai tanulok szamara"– Manen madžarsći-balgarsći rečnić zarad balgarsći narudniškulsći škulare. It was designed for the Bulgarian pupils in the primary classes of the Hungarian schools; today this dictionary is a precious source about the condition and the vocabulary of the dialect. The emphasis in the paper is placed on the attempts after 1990 in the vocabulary sections of the newspaper „Naša glas“, in the prefaces of the issues of Banat popular fairy tales (Banatsći balgarsći prikazći) in the addendum to the book Banatsćija balgarsći dialekt i pismenus, part of the vocabulary of the present and archaic strata of the dialect to be collected and presented.

As names and part of the system of names, ethnicons are characteristics for both ancient and contemporary societies. In the world of Ancient Greece where two names were used traditionally at the presentation of citizens, their given and their paternal names, these names complement the information about the origin of the persons which are also indicative of their native land. With the gradual establishment of Greek settlers in various parts of Thrace, after the age of antiquity these traditions also infiltrated Thracian territories. In the time of the Roman emperors, rising monuments with inscriptions spread among broader strata of the Thracian provincial population in Macedonia, Thrace, Moesia, Dacia, Bithynia and elsewhere. In these conditions, epigraphic heritage also began to include elements and influences coming from the living Thracian language. Against the backdrop of those processes and in relation to the different factors necessitating the use of ethnicons or other similar means to present origins, we see a tradition that is characteristic of Thracians and the Thracian language. The ethnicons that have reached to us are such that can be linguistically defined as Thracian in origin. The sources show that the Thracians also had their tradition in the use of ethnicons based on a model typical of their language. Those were twofold names with first or second root Dentu- or -dentes.

(3) Do they use cultural/ geopolitical framing? Ownership data is publicly available, but the rest of the information was gleaned by surveying the editorial line of each media outlet.

In this article we analyze some personal names in Russian anecdotes from the point of view of linguoculturology, applying methods of this relatively new linguistic discipline. The theory of anthropocentric language is key in modern linguistics from the end of the XX century, while the linguoculturology is the product of the anthropocentric paradigm in modern linguistics. Precedent personal names in modern anecdotes show, who is “the hero and anti-hero of contemporary times”. These names reflect part of the mentality of Russian speaker. Семантична съпоставка между фразеологични структури с опорна дума риба в български и гръцки

This paper compares the forms and semantics of phraseological units in Bulgarian and Greek, using the head word Fish. The resulting observations of the study allow for the drawing of some linguistic and ethno-psycholinguistic conclusions regarding these two Balkan nations. In analysing the construction of semantic equivalents in the two languages, both complete and partial similarities can be observed. Semantic classification reveals that phraseologisms are personally orientated, and that amongst these, those which characterise qualities, actions, and states evoking negative emotions are seen to dominate.

Grimms Volksmärchen "Katze und Maus in Gesellschaft" tiefenpsychologisch gedeutet

This article is an interpretation of the text of the Grimms’ "Cat and Mouse in Partnership" from the collection "Fairy Tales". The interpretation is based on Carl Gustav Jung’s theory of psychological types. The article shows that the figures of cat and mouse represent different types of humans: the extroverted and introverted types, divided into subtypes. The interpretation shows a harmonious relationship between Jakob Grimm’s theory of the metonymic transfer of drive and instinct in fairy tales and the inevitable triumph of instinct over socialisation.

„Edle Räuber“ in georgischer Volksdichtung und Literatur

In the European and Caucasian traditional folk narratives, there are different types of romanticised bandits. This phenomenon occurs in many societies and is described in various forms in oral tradition: epics, songs, folk tales, and anecdotes. The images of the robbers are part of a mythology of heroic lawlessness. Historical and fictional figures of robbers have been heroised and established as “social bandits” and repeatedly referred to with the term “noble robber.” In Georgian folk tales, realistic tales and anecdotes, the theme of robbers has been interpreted differently. The international fairy-tale motifs in Georgian folklore joined the national repertoire. There is a difference between fictional and non-fictional robbers in Georgian folklore. In folk tales, fairy tales and realistic tales, the fictional image of the robber is antagonistic in nature. In contrast to the folk tales, the historical robbers appear in other genres of folk narratives as outlaws whom the state regards as criminals, but in peasant society, they are considered heroes, avengers and fighters for justice and even leaders of liberation.
