Sedewakantyzm : wybrane zagadnienia

The above article is an attempt of the sedevacantism problem elaboration, this is the period when the whole Church or the single diocese is left without the Pope or the Bishop. Sedevacantists claim that the Pope and the subordinate clergymen were not elected legally and validly since the death of Pope Pius XII, that is why the activity of present church structures and their dioceses do not have a legally binding power. The hole elaboration comprises of five points that include: sedevacantism description, its existence in the world and Poland, presentation of the chosen sedevacantism mediums (mainly the internet ones) and subject concerning the views on the society functioning of this trend followers. The author of this short article deliberately resigned from the theological presentation and evaluation of possible advantages and disadvantages of sedevacantism, focusing only on opinions promoted by other columnists.

RAZUMIJEVANJE ISLAMA I NASILJE

This article reflects upon the significance of a critical approach towards those concepts within Muslim interpretative tradition and intellectual history, which directly or indirectly offer “logistic support” to violence, by answering three questions that could provide for a radical criticism of an entire corps of Muslim interpretation of Islam: – What is it, within the entire Muslim interpretation of Islam that gave priority to the law over the ethics? – Why is it that political thought has not developed within the Muslim thought? – Why Muslim hermeneutic tradition perverted the role of intellect? A radical “turn” of Muslim thought, regarding primacy of legal, in Muslim classical as well as modern history could comprise of opening towards what, in defining his mission, God’s Messenger Muhammad s.w.s., named ethical. Such a “turn” requires a significant effort, taking on the responsibility for the other which requires such an attitude upon which, as stated in the Qur’an, Habil (Abel) can say to his brother Qabil (Cain): ‘If you should raise your hand against me to kill me, indeed, I shall not raise my hand against you to kill you’ (5:31) Suffering from the lack of political thought in Muslim intellectual history, Muslim advocates of an ‘Islamic discourse’ by giving supremacy to a fact within one, metaphysical order of things (God) over a ‘fact’ from an entirely different, political, order of things (political will of citizens), are rejecting democratic concept of governance, and, in attempt to ‘Islamise’ democracy, which means to limit it by providing a ‘higher’ (theocratic) instance, resort to non-democratic solutions which as a rule leads to usurpation of that ‘higher’ instance and to violence that makes the content of every kind of usurpation. To overcome misunderstanding concerning the legitimacy of reason within the interpretive tradition of Islam it is necessary that every reference (from our side) to the Qur’an is actually a reference to (our) understanding of the Qur’an. Otherwise, referring to the Qur’an with a presumption of beholding God’s perspective represents a totalitarian impulse that easily ends in violence.

PSEUDORELIGIJSKO LEGITIMIZIRANJE EKSTREMIZMA I DEKONTEKSTUALIZACIJA ISLAMA

The article discusses fundamental factors of pseudo-religious legitimisation of Muslim extremism. Through selective approach towards religious sources and with hermeneutics of the same sources dragged outside their context, various ideologies support and encourage extremism and Muslim sectarianism. Such reinterpretation of Islam is most evident in forging some frequently used Islamic terminology, and constructing new terminology alien to original Islam, application of which intensifies religious extremism, intolerance and exclusivism. Competent Muslim scholars should answer these innovative hermeneutic interpretations of Islam and thus significantly contribute in deconstruction of ideological platform upon which religious extremism is based.

O “ZAJEDNIČKOJ IZJAVI O NASILNOM EKSTREMIZMU”

In this article originally presented at the international forum New generation of democracy and interreligious dialogue – a response to violent extremism in Sarajevo, the author discusses the meaning of Sarajevo declaration issued in December 2015. Joint statement about violent extremism, wherein violent extremism is clearly and strongly condemned, was signed by 37 officials, spiritual and intellectual leaders of Bosniaks. The statement contains the request for a decisive confrontation to all forms of radicalism, violent extremism and terrorism. The issue is presented as local as well as global multi-conditioned phenomenon, complexity of which is often simplified.

The author presents the position based upon the sources of Islam with support of historical facts stating that freedom, peace, coexistence and freedom of speech are fundamental principles of Islam.

DOZVOLJAVA LI ISLAM FIZIČKO NASILJE NAD DJECOM?

The article discusses a well knowen hadith of Allah’s Messinger s.w.s. about teaching namaz to children:”Teach a child to offer namaz when it attains the age of seven, and (strike him) command it when it is age ten.” Interpreting the words vadribuhu (ُ بِوُه (وَاضْ to mean strike him is partial and has no foundation in the practice of Allah’s Messanger s.w.s, who always and everywhere recommended mercy and compation towards weak, what children andoubtedly are at the age of ten. Keeping this in mind, in this article we offered a satisfying solution, based upon detaled analysis of given hadith, its comentaries and translations to Bosnian language, which holds the essence of the Messinger’s intention to persuade a child at the age of ten to offer salah.

POČINIOCI NASILJA NAD STARIJIM OSOBAMA

This article presents the results of research study titled “Social causes of violence against elderly in Tuzla Canton” carried out in 2012. The objective of this research was analysis of social causes for domestic violence and reasons for susceptibility of becoming a victim of domestic violence in later age. Kinds and forms of violence, frequency and social (risk) factors that can produce violence on people in later age were also surveyed. The research was carried out during the period from 1st March to 30th October 2012. Questionnaire included 130 elderly persons and 44 experts employed at 13 social work centres. The research work aimed at analysing the extent of exposure of elderly to domestic violence, kinds and forms of violence, frequency, perpetrators and the attitude towards reporting this kind of violence to the authorities. The main aim of the research was to evaluate the influence of certain risk factors that can incite the violence on elderly.

PORAST AGRESIVNOG PONAŠANJA I ULOGA VJERE U NJEGOVOM OBUZDAVANJU

Analysing the causes and the problem of increasing aggressive behaviour we acquire an insight that may be helpful in prevention of such behaviour and reducing the likely consequences of same. Researches show that aggression is a growing phenomenon, present in all age, gender, religious and other groups. In this article the author relates basic terminology pertaining to aggressiveness, and reviews the possible role of faith in prevention and control of aggressive behaviour. The article appeals for multidisciplinary approach in solving this problem and joint endeavour of all socially responsible individuals and groups, especially religious communities, in preventing it.

FENOMEN I SADRŽAJ NASILJA

All schools of ethics are based upon issues of good and evil, freedom and responsibility, opportunities and duties and rights and obligations. In this article the author discusses the phenomenon of violence and its content focusing upon sources of evil and violence primarily from the perspective of the teachings of Islam. The ethics based on the teachings of Islam upholds the sanctity and inviolability of life, justice and equality. Forgetting God, alienation from God and convergence with devil inevitably leads to selfdestruction, negation of values, injustice, violence, disorder and is jeopardising the nature. HAŠKI TRIBUNAL I SUĐENJE “STOLJEĆA”; KARADŽIĆU DOKAZAN ZLOČIN GENOCIDA, ŠEŠELJ OSLOBOĐEN OPTUŽBI

Moral and legal contradictio in adiecto of Hague verdicts is best manifested in rulings of the ‘century’ in cases against most responsible perpetrators of genocide and unprecedented crimes, which they planned, organised, encouraged and directly commanded. After thirteen years in hiding from justice with false name and physiognomy crucial Hague inductee, Radovan Karadzic was arrested in 2008, whereas Vojislav Šešelj was arrested five years earlier, in 2003. Before this, 161 persons were indicted by Hague Tribunal for war crimes, of which more than half (91) are Serbs, which is not surprising, considering facts of the war-events in B&H and Croatia. When all the sentences issued by the court so far and those that are expected are summed up, it comes to 1000 years of imprisonment. Even though the number seems high, by no means it reciprocates committed crimes nor the number of the executors of those crimes that have not yet been prosecuted and are, moreover, holding high public offices in government of B&H. That is the legal and moral ‘contardictio’, what we Bosniaks, see as irreconcilable with moral legislative logic of some of the judges of the jury council who did everything they could to insure that criminals are not punished adequately or acquitted of the crimes they committed, placing the mentioned crimes within theframework of International Conventions, thus fabricating new legal ‘standards’ in order to comply with criminals not with truth or justice. In this regard, most blatant example of avoiding justice we have in the verdict of the ‘century’ in case of Radovan Karadzic and unprecedented legal morbidity in the verdict in case of Vojisalav Šešelj. The verdict in the case of the former is a slight consolation for the victims, whereas the latter is an unparalleled disgrace, a crime without punishment or, plainly ‘justification of crime’ by the judges who justified these crimes thus identifying themselves with the criminal as such.

TRANZICIJSKE REKONFIGURACIJE BOŠNJAČKOG IDENTITETA U ROMANU “PAUČINA” SAMEDINA KADIĆA

We here analysed recent configurations of Bosniak identity in Samedin Kadić’s novel Paučina (Cobweb), comprehending identity as a dynamic category, that is as an effect of a web ofconflicting discursive regimes. The novel, as a whole, is dedicated to this thematic complex, but the mentioned dynamics is clearly evident in a chain of literary-effective, fragmented micro-units, which are offered in the form of mise en abyme, as a kind of keys for inner reading of the novel. Kadić takes Islam as the central component of identity construction, conceived as per solar model that makes the whole novel function as a sort of astrolabe that scans the entire collectivity, but also various individual ‘bodies’ (personalities) and establishes varying parameters – distance from the centre, angle, size, shape, and changes of orbital path. In all this the author tries to ensure that the centre itself, however indisputable it is, does not remain privileged by scholastic protectionism of any kind nor exempted from critical views and questionings, moreover, for Kadić, Islam is the idea which requires perpetual confirmation, in all the circumstances and in all possible conventional and avant-garde ways. Aware of his own subjective position, the author gives a detailed deconstruction of traditional identity metanarrative.

The aim of this article is to point out the significance of translations of the Noble Qur’an to other languages, different types of translations of the Qur’an, history of its translation and of its first translations (English, French, Italian, German, Russian, Persian, Turkish, Serbo-Croatian, Albanian etc.), the language of the Qur’an, its translatability and finally the opinions of eminent Islamic scholars about translating the Qur’an.

KAKO ČITATI PRIJEVOD KUR’ĀNA? (KRATKE UPUTE U ODGONETANJE ZNAKOVLJA KUR’ĀNA)

Translation of the Qur’an by Mića Ljubibratić Hercegovac (1839-1889) was published in Belgrade in 1895, and is considered the first complete translation published in our language, and 120 years later this translation was re-printed by El-Qalem publishing house and Muftiate of Banja Luka with addition of the collection of essays about the Qur’an titled ‘Universes of the Qur’an’, by Enes Karić. Qur’an holds the pivotal position in Islam; from its pages Muslims derive the principles of their faith, fundamental guidelines for their rituals and morality, it offers concise directions for understanding this world and our role in it. The original text of the Qur’an is revered by Muslims as Literal Word of God (Verbum Dei) and God’s Voice. The translation of the Qur’an is not considered as ‘the original Qur’an’, translation of the Qur’an is only a translation or interpretation of the book that reflects reason, style and worldview of the translator. In this essay, prepared and published as an addition to Ljubibratić’s translation of the Qur’an, the author offers some guidelines for reading and understanding translation of the Qur’an.

KUR’AN I NAUKA: HERMENEUTIČKI PRISTUP

Moj cilj u ovom tekst sastoji se u procjenjivanju značenja kur’anskoga Teksta kao lingvističkog sistema sa njegovom vlastitom objektivnošću pozivanjem na interpretatora koji – kako je Gadamer rekao – na tekst gleda sa ‘pozitivnim predubjeđenjem’. Potpitanje je slijede¬će: Kako se pasaži Svetoga Teksta u odnosu na prirodne nauke ili kozmo¬loški poredak mogu čitati iz hermene-utičke tačke gledišta, više u filozofskom nego u historijskom, gramatičkom ili stilističkom smislu; debatni problemi književnog i umjetničkog karaktera te odnos između Kur’ana i nauke per se ovdje nisu uključeni. Članak zauzima stav da je hermeneutika kao filozofska nauka, a ne samo kao puki sistem kroz koji se derivira značenje iz nekog teksta, predodređena da postane ključna nauka u islamskim, a posebno u kur’anskim naukama.

Cooperation for Social Inclusion

The global economic crisis and economic slowdown resulted in the fact that when we talk about social exclusion in Poland, we usually talk about it in the context of unemployment. The aim of this article is to show the importance of cooperation between Polish local employment services and social welfare centres for the active inclusion of the unemployed, especially of the long-term unemployed. This cooperation is regulated by acts of law and in particular by changes in “Act on promotion of employment and labour market institutions” and “Act on social welfare”. Forschungen zur Berufsidentität – Bemerkungen und Reflexionen

In the paper the attention is paid on the fact that findings of empirical research focusing on professional identity of Polish social workers are not coherent. The explanation of this, the paper offers, is as follows: differences in descriptions of professional identity of social workers are basically result of distinct “languages” that have emerged as a product of theoretical and methodological assumptions and choices made by researchers during a research process. The thesis is illustrated by two cases: /1/ the approach based on the sociological concept of “social role” in understanding, defining and operationalizing the term “professional identity” and the survey as the preferred research method and /2/ the approach that invokes metaphore in searching the answer who a social worker is. Even short analysis of them reveals that the lack of coherence in research on professional identity of social workers is also the result of its multidimensionality. It means that this lack might rather be a matter of reality and not only of a matter research.
