Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study was to examine the level of technical efficiency and changes in productivity and theirs sources in Polish agriculture in the years 1999-2018. The study used the DEA method and the Färe-Primont total productivity index developed on its basis. The average size of the technical efficiency factors over the period considered was high. It ranged from 94.3% (2000) to 99.7% (2012). During the period under review, the average change in the size of Färe-Primont’s total productivity index was 1.615, representing an average annual increase of 3.1%. The main source of these changes was technological progress, which averaged 11.3% per year, while the decrease in efficiency during this time was by an average of 1.3% per year.
