Summary/Abstract: The aim of the present work is to define nutritional value and energetic value of most of the analyzed foods. The existence or the absence of correlation between the series of nutritional and energetic values is analyzed by the use of linear correlation coefficient (Pearson) and of range correlations (Kendall’s τ). The results confirm the dissocition of teh two criteria and indicate that nutritional value is an indicator that promotes rational alimentation.
