Summary/Abstract: Grigory Skovoroda has illustrated in his works the complex process of symbolizing that the Biblical writings employ. He takes as a starting point the story of Lot’s Wife that has often been analysed by Ukrainean writers and theologians from a moral perspective. According to Skovoroda, Biblical symbols have always reflected the anthitetical structure of existence.
