THE SPIRIT OF THE SERBIAN AVANT-GARDE IN THE CITY OF TIMIȘOARA TODOR MANOJLOVIĆ, MILOŠ CRNJANSKI

Summary/Abstract: Todor Manojlović and Miloš Crnjanski find their creative identity in the diversity of the cultural backgrounds that led to their formation as writers. We are talking about the Serbian, Hungarian, German, English, Italian and Romanian climates they were exposed to. Given the fact that a lot has been written about the influence that the city of Timişoara had on Crnjanski, we will attempt to point out to which extent the time Todor Manojlović spent in Romania put a significant mark on his entire literary work.
