Summary/Abstract: Within the scope of the subject, problem, and tasks, the research was conducted to determine the persistence of similarities and differences in the informal and formal education models of learning to play the accordion. The sample was comprised of 30 respondents, whose acquisition of music education or musical work is related to Novi Sad. The basic criterion for selecting respondents was their involvement in teaching the accordion in informal (non-institutional, private tutoring) and school (institutional) settings. By applying the assessment scale, data was obtained from the respondents, and certain elements of the statistical method were used for data processing. This paper is intended to make an academic contribution to the study of traditional music pedagogy in – institutional and informal – schools.
