Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of St. Paisii Hilendarski (1722 – 1773) and is therefore written in a more emotional and somewhat in his style. It comments on Paisii's theses on the language and faith of the Bulgarian race, on statehood and spirituality, on knowledge and education. As a result, it is assumed that the national idea of Paisii Hilendarski is the four-leaved clover of Bulgarianness – according to him, the happiness of the Bulgarian is in the unity of language – clan – faith – Fatherland. His message is about catharsis in the soul of the Bulgarian - with the knowledge in school of the native language, with the struggle for church independence and with rebellions for national liberation.
