Summary/Abstract: The article is facing the new regulation on the liability of online service providers in view of Directive (EU) 2019/790 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 on copyright and related rights in the Digital Single Market and amending Directives 96/9/ EC and 2001/29/EC. The publication signals the most significant problems arising from the new legal status, draws attention to the wide subject and object scope of suppliers’ liability, which is not limited to liability for copyright infringement, and to the connection with efforts to standardise issues related to the use of the so-called artificial intelligence.
