At Ghiță`s Inn: Aspects of a synergic artistic concept, between traditional heritage and contemporary performing arts

Summary/Abstract: The study explores the continuous valuing of traditional heritage in contemporary formulas, inside At Ghiță`s Inn, the musical choreography theatre show staged by “Cindrelul-Junii Sibiului” Professional Folklore Ensemble. Based on the offering chronotope of the inn as a space for knowledge and travelers` meetings, the show structured the theatrical, musical and choreographic levels from a double perspective: that of presenting traditional heritage in its extremely spectacular manifestation forms all over Romania, but reverberating in the interdisciplinarity of contemporary performing arts, appealing to audience.
