Summary/Abstract: Psychoanalytic psychotherapy is a modification of the psychoanalysis. Its purpose is to incite and change the relationship between the psychic structures Id, Ego and Superego and to provide the patient a perspective for significant achievement in more efficient functioning in various aspects of their lives. This would result in successful adaptation and satisfactory interactions with the others. The course is the search for a new balance between internal and external psychic realities. The following research relates to some of the characteristics of the method that differentiate it from the other psychotherapeutic perspectives. They are essential for the change and development of the patient. The method is based on the basic theoretical postulates of psychoanalytic paradigm; individual clinical experience and observations. It represents key psychological phenomena derived from the dynamics of each individual case.
