Summary/Abstract: In analyses and debates on post-Dayton Bosnia, it is evident that a precise term to express the political problem in Bosnia has yet to be found. The aim of this article is to explore the relevance of the term “frozen conflict” in the context of Bosnia. Following an overview of key elements present in “frozen conflicts” in the post-Soviet space, an analysis of the presence (or the lack thereof) of these elements in the case of Bosnia is provided. Based on the usage of the term in the academic literature, the case of Bosnia is deemed not to fit this category of conflicts.
