Summary/Abstract: The present article investigates separate groups of motivated words from the vocabulary of the Book of the Prophet Ezekiel in MS F.I.461 (Russian National Library – St. Petersburg) that have been differentiated according to a word-building formant – in this case a prefix. Conclusions about the prevailing type of the translation technique are drawn and parallels and common tendencies are sought in comparison with the classical Old Bulgarian monuments and the Preslav literacy on the basis of the translating language.
