Details to the Portrait of the Young Petar Dinekov

Summary/Abstract: The present article is based on several previously unknown letters addressed to Petar Dinekov in the period between 1934 and 1935 during his work at the University of Warsaw. The authors of these letters are his colleagues L. Andrejchin, S. Ilchev, U. Kraigher and his professor S. Romanski. The epistolary archival documents are in the unprocessed part of the 1987K fund and are interesting both as facts about the life of the great Bulgarian scholar and as an opportunity to create some sort of a psychological portrait of the young Peter Dinekov – what he was like in the eyes of his colleagues and friends (the peers’ perspective) and in the eyes of his professors and older colleagues (the mentors’ perspective).
