Summary/Abstract: This article describes the losses of the Bulgarian merchant fleet in the period of 1941- 1944. Submarines and aircraft of USSR, France and the Royal Navy sank 15 ships with 25 004 GRT in the Black and Mediterranean seas. The losses are part of the price which Bulgaria paid for its special “neutral” side in World War Two.
