Employment and the labour market in the Czech Republic and European countries) The book is devoted to issues surrounding changes in the Czech labour market that are underway in the specific context of the end of the industrial era. The aim of the authors is to provide answers to serious questions concerning the various mechanisms and factors that determine the life success of individuals, which is influenced primarily by success in the labour market. The book addresses the importance of traditionally investigated factors that influence the position of individuals in the labour market, including particularly the duration of formal education, age, gender, sector, region etc. In addition, non-cognitive characteristics such as personality traits, self-esteem, motivation and social capital are considered. According to the reviewer, the book successfully covered the factors that influence the position of people in the labour market via a complex research approach.
