Summary/Abstract: The practices of interculturality also include the religious and spiritual dimension. One of these aspects is the tolerance. Since time immemorial there are no homogeneous and unchanging cultural formations. The cultures are dynamic and changeable. Their borders are blurred, and they have never existed hermetically separated from each other. Cultural interaction and development have always existed and the necessity of a cultural education and an education for tolerance are included to the conditions and requirements of a proper intercultural communication that accepts, perceives and maintains differences, without losing sight of cross-cultural similarities. In history there were always different considerations of the spiritual interculturality that accounts for the cultural primacy of a particular cultural group and sets as the basis of intercultural communication a required open hermeneutics. The study tries to theoretically incorporate the intercultural aspect of tolerance in human communication on one hand and secondly to identify the practical ways and solutions thereof. Furthermore, there is an analysis of the difference between tolerance - intolerance, the principle of the equality of the communication partners which is to be regarded as an important prerequisite in all forms of communication. As an example, Plato’s dialogues are given in terms of interculturality. These dialogues reflect the winner, the teacher who can be “the taught one” as well as “the teacher”.
