Summary/Abstract: Appropriate behavior is crucial in professional life. Forms of behavior that are completely acceptable in the private sphere can be inappropriate in the professional context. No matter how convincing your professional qualifications are, if your employer is afraid that you will not be able to represent the company, you will not be considered for executive positions. With the right manners youcan master critical situations charmingly and take your fellow human beings for themselves. Business Knigge Rules are recommended to everyone nowadays in order to make not only good impressions on the business partner, but to alsoguarantee a successful outcome of the meeting. China has opened up and many companies are increasingly international. Linguists find it easier and easier forforeigners to do business in the Middle Kingdom because the English language has spread rapidly in recent years. But even without a language barrier, cultural differences between East Asians and Central Europeans remain present.
