Summary/Abstract: Once it became a government party, the Romanian Communist Party (PCR) was in a difficult position, generated by the existence of the two centres - one in Romania (the communists in Romania) and one in Moscow (the communists that had emigrated to the USSR) - and by the necessity to adapt their strategy and tactics to the political demands of the Kremlin, who were still interested in the maintaining of the “great coalition”.
