Summary/Abstract: The authorial works and translations by Mesud Hafizović, published in the journals of Islamic educational institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in which he sheds light on important issues from the field of Arabic linguistics and fundamental Islamic sciences, deserve to be presented to younger Arabists. His cooperation with the journals took place at a time when only the yearbook of the Oriental Institute in Sarajevo, Contributions to Oriental Philology, was available for the publication of works on Arabic studies. After I have shed light on Mesud Hafizović’s oeuvre in the field of linguistics in appropriate thematic works, it seems justified to me to bring attention to his translations, considering he has earned the position of a prominent translator among the contributors of these journals. Disregarding the many praiseworthy features of Mesud Hafizović’s translation work, what should be emphasized in particular is the high semantic reliability of his translations, in which he neither by simplification nor by extensive reinterpretation changed the value or meaning of anything. Collaborating as a translator with numerous journals, Mesud Hafizović significantly contributed to the development of translation in our country, raising translation culture to a higher level.
