Summary/Abstract: The present paper is an analysis of a few symbols found in the Book of Revelation in the Bible, comparing two exegetic Romanian versions of the biblical text, namely a manuscript belonging to scholar Victor Smigelschi, a specialist in biblical study from Blaj, and the other one published in2001 belonging to metropolitan Bartolomeu Anania. Our work highlights the efforts of these two exegets that correct the language in the text of the Bible, and focuses mainly on the achievement of the scholar from Blaj at the end of XIXth century – the beginning of the XXth century in order to stimulate the interest of the posterity about an unknown but extremely interesting biblical exegesis.
