Summary/Abstract: The challenge facing the world in the 21st century is to ensure a balance between economic development and improving the well-being of people and the needs of the environment. The concept of sustainable construction has been developed for more than 30 years and is applied in many countries around the world. The aim of the author in this article is to present the state of green activities in construction in some countries and to give recommendations for the implementation of green projects in Bulgaria.
