Summary/Abstract: The space and the time represent two essential dimensions of our reality; the philosophy and literature took these concepts and used it, too. These two fundamental types of space - open and enclosed space - are a reflection of human nature. Any important writer placing his works in a space, but he is trying to create a recognizable space, clearly identified by readers. Fănuș Neagu, Romanian writers, was born in the plain and he transformed this plain in his favorite literary space. All his novels have the same space matrix, the Southern plain of the country. This space was nearly absent from Romanian literature, but writers like Vasile Voiculescu, Panait Istrati - before the Second World War Ŕ and Constantin Țoiu, Ștefan Bănulescu and Fănuș Neagu - after Second World War - will change this and will require definitive this space in Romanian literature.
