Summary/Abstract: From the definitions that attempted to explain Byzantine music from the point of view of identity, we have stopped on some variants, which we consider to include scientific rigor and the correct assessment of the phenomenon that we intend to study. Therefore, we will try to analyze these descriptions to see which of them circumscribe Byzantine music in its entirety.
