Summary/Abstract: The systematic research of Byzantine music and its documents represents, as we have stated before, a relatively recent concern of Romanian scholars, as opposed to studying other arts and sciences. The inner life and the religious feeling, spiritually exalted, were best expressed, in the Church offices, inermost linked to the Byzantine chant, because, through it, occurs the connection or affective relationship between the person pronouncing the holy words and the Holy person to whom the song is addressed.
