Summary/Abstract: In the approximately four years of professing as a librarian within the Central Library of Bukovina, I.G.Sbiera was mainly concerned with the reorganization of the cultural institution and the completion of the book fund, in this sense initiating, among others, a correspondence with the librarians from Bucharest and from Cernăuți. In the State Archives of the Cernăuţi Region I have discovered a series of letters that attest the collaboration between the Bucovina scholar and G. Ioanid Spirescu, but also a series of issues regarding E. Pardini. The documents issued in the years 1871, respectively, 1872, are part of the Archive Fund of the University of Cernăuți and constitute a foundation in Sbiera's placement among the important personalities of the history of the public library in Bukovina.
