Summary/Abstract: After the defeat of the Romanian army, at the end of 1916, the troops of the Central Powers occupied a significant part of the Romanian territory. On it they established a branched military administration, which strictly controlled the lives of Romanian citizens. The main objectives of the military administration were the economic exploitation of all resources in the occupied territory and the maintenance of a forced climate of tranquillity among the inhabitants.
