Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of conducted in-depth interviews of respondents’ attitudes towards vaccines and willingness to be vaccinated (in the period March‒April 2021). It is a part of „Studying the Relationships between Medical Science and Citizens through the Methods of Big Data Analysis: The Cases of Vaccination and Homeopathy“ research project program, financed by the BNSF (Bulgarian National Science Fund), Ministry of Science and Education. The main aim of the survey is to identify key arguments pros and cons vaccines and formulate research hypotheses, which will be tested at the second phase of the project through quantitative methods of big data analysis. The proposed text emphasizes on the existing healthcare problems and their influence on the (lack of) trust in health authorities and medical professionals as well as vaccine hesitancy (towards Covid-19 virus). The factors for anti-vaccine behavior are analyzed in their connection with different interpretive pictures of the pandemic crisis, the misinformation about new vaccinesеs, fear and sustainable negative attitudes towards pharma industry.
