Innovation policy in Poland towards the challenge of Europe 2020 Strategy

Summary/Abstract: Previous actions concerning the increase of competitiveness of economy and the realization of assumption of Strategy 2020 seem to have no reflection in data describing the state of economy. It is well-known that one of the main factors of competitiveness increase are the actions and processes which influence R&D area and the level of innovativeness of economy. These actions directly concern the creation and implementation of new technologies and they lead to the creation of new or improved products. To decrease a gap between Poland and its competitors our country has to be an economy where innovation and science policies’ goals have the highest priority.
