Summary/Abstract: Learning in/of solitude is a cognitive category of pedagogical monoseology whose research space covers two key terms: solitude and learning. Both are understood broadly here. Empirical research, conducted in 2021 on a group of 19 people on the threshold of adulthood (aged 18–25) showed a very wide range of learning in/of solitude, which not only manifests itself as coping with loneliness, but also means getting to know oneself, looking for space for self-realization in a situation of chosen aloneness. The reflectiveness of young adults in the period of development moratorium deserves attention. Research reveals links between their learning in/of solitude and the andragogical theories of adult learning, and in particular with the theory of existential learning. It is optimistic that young people, on the threshold of adulthood, additionally burdened with the experience of the coronavirus (2020–2021), were able to find themselves in their loneliness and, what is particularly important, regain a positive form of solitude. The research results contribute to the demythologization of solitude understood as loneliness. They are also a contribution to a sustainable understanding and experiencing solitude.
