Summary/Abstract: Teaching Romanian as a foreign language has become of great importance in some of the Romanian universities lately, the main reason being the interest of foreign citizens to obtain their degrees in our country. Thus, one of the main challenges of Romanian teachers is the reduction of errors that foreign students might produce during the learning process in order to make them become proficient users of Romanian. The main aim of the paper is to show the errors that students produce while learning Romanian, especially when it comes to the production of written messages, as well as their types, error analysis proving to be a beneficial tool that both teachers and students might use to diminish error numbers and to improve language performance.
