Summary/Abstract: In 2021 we celebrate 200 years since the birth of the famous Georgi Stoykov Rakovski (1821–1867) – one of the most significant and large-scale personalities of the Bulgarian Revival – an exceptional patriot, notable publicist and public figure, inspired poet and writer, insightful scientist, historian and ethnographer, tactical politician and a diplomat, selfless revolutionary and ideologue of the national liberation movement of Bulgaria. Along with his participation in all stages of the liberation movement, during his short life, he bequeathed a colossal volume of works – books, periodicals, journalism, a huge documentary and epistolary heritage, which to this day has not been studied objectively enough. The biobibliographic index “Georgi Stoykov Rakovski” is the first most complete bibliographic edition reflecting the life and great work of the famous Bulgarian, covering the period from 1856 until July 2021. The directory presents 2725 publications from and about Rakovski in Bulgarian and foreign languages, a brief chronology of his life and career, as well as a system of indexes to support the search.
