Poeta i tłumacz, czyli o porozumieniu dusz
Poet and translator, or about the understanding of souls

Summary/Abstract: This article begins with considerations relating to, among others, the reception of works, literary communication, and the meaning of the soul. It aims to pay attention to inner understanding and comprehension, turning into an affinity of souls as seen in the case of the Polish poet Tadeusz Różewicz and his German translator Karl Dedecius, recipient, researcher and interpreter of the Wrocław writer’s works, person taking care of popularising Różewicz’s work, its proper publication and reception abroad. In order to diagnose the suggested notion, the article presents and uses the selected results of research on the correspondence between the writer and the translator.
