Summary/Abstract: The development of the standards in the archival description and detailed description of the specific individuals, families and institutions is in its early stages. There are ahead many intellectual, technical, cultural, linguistic and political challenges which require commitment to successful completion. The identification, registration of names, the description, as well as relationships between individuals, families and institutions is carëfully documented within the system. It is essential for this descriptive system the unilateral administrative control of technology, intellectual and professional infrastructure dealing with the information. The efficient realization of the archival description requires a standard and a developed system, administered and secured in a cooperative manner. This will serve the interests of individuals and furthermore. The various institutions that administer the cultural heritage, museums, libraries, etc., need to share information and experiences, successes and failures. Relying in mutual trust we will be able to balance our individual needs ëith common interest in making complete use of our common heritage.
