Summary/Abstract: Sigismund Toduță’ s creation contains neoclasic musical language elements mixed with Baroque, Renaissance and Classical music elements. Along other romanian composers such as Enescu or Paul Constantinescu, Sigismund Toduță has succeded in developing his own compositional style. Sonata for flute and piano is among his masterpieces and it has been writen in a modal manner. His unique compositional style has strong romanian folklore influences that are mostly present in the musical line.This sonata has three contrasting parts based on the classic sonata structure. The composer uses an enriched musical language, creating a fusion between classic art music elements and traditional music elements
