Summary/Abstract: Pea bacterial blight is a disease of economic importance to many countries around the world. The use of resistant varieties is the most cost-effective and environmentally friendly method for disease control. Of paramount importance for any breeding program aimed at creating resistant varieties is the search for sources of resistance. This review presents summary information on the genetic control of resistance in pea to bacterial blight pathogens and sources of resistance to the disease in Bulgaria.
